CH194: EIGHT TO GO

Max was left alone on an empty ocean shore without any sign of human or wildlife in sight. The mid-afternoon sun shone brightly on him as the heat from it caused him to sweat, even though he was not doing anything. He looked past the ocean horizon and saw nothing. He looked past the beach's horizon but still failed to see anything.

The mid-afternoon sun made the orange sand under his toes heat up and burn his feet. After having his system powers taken from him, Max was left to wonder what exactly James meant when he said he was going to test him.

"I don't exactly see what I'm supposed to fight." He said to himself as he frolicked on the shallow waters of the ocean. Seven minutes passed and since nothing happened, Max's patience grew miserably thin.

"WHERE OR WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO FIGHT?" He yelled. Just then, strong bubbles came from the ocean side and the orange sands of the beach rambled as if a large worm or snake crawled under them.
