Chapter 41: Utter Confidence

Chapter 41: Utter Confidence
The power he reached today he had to thank Rotarr the monsters and the Glendin that are after not only his life but also his whole race's life and last but not least the person who gave him these arts to him.
If not for him neither he can be currently standing here but maybe he will be lying dead inside some sort of place already.
Currently, it's not the right moment to get happy or to thank everyone responsible for what he gained today but it's the time to save him planet future.
"So, even you can't grow your limbs that are cut off" Jason commented watching that the creature can't grow his limbs back.
He didn't waste any more time babbling around and attacked the creature with the intention to kill him.
This time the creature is prepared but even then it didn't able to stop Jason from cutting his head off from the rest of his body.
It didn't take much effort to cut the head of the creature which confirms that his strength is obviously increased greatly that the creature he was facing a few minutes ago and struggling fighting but now it didn't take 1 sec to kill it.
After the head gets cut off from the creature its body falls on the ground lifelessly and then suddenly puss started to come out of every part of the body within a sec it goo like a substance.
"So that is the side effect of using that skill" Jason thought inside his mind watching what happened to the creature after he die.
It's still not the time to concentrate on this as every passing sec is as important as a lifeline for him.
He takes his eye off from the goo body of the creature to the non-caring Glendin with angry and battle-seeking eyes.
For a moment I feel like leaving everything on hold as I just want to test my new powers, I want to battle somebody right now right here but then with all my strength.
I reminded myself again that it is not the most important thing to do now as I had the responsibility for billions of lives on my shoulder right now and one wrong decision will cost him all.
That's why even if all the parts of my body are screaming to fight right now, I ignored it and shifted my attention towards the most important thing for now.
I shifted my direction towards the beast's core and with all my strength I sprinted towards it while maintaining the visuals of Glendin from my side eyes.
I am 100% sure that even if it was laying there with his eyes closed with his non-caring attitude it will attack Jason and try to stop him before he can put the thing on the core.
That's why Jason still maintains his view on the Glendin so that when he attacks him, he can at least somehow either evade the attack or take it on some part of his body.
So that he can trade a non-vital part of his body to gain a chance to put the chip-like substance on the beast's core.
As he gets closer and closer towards the core, a hint of doubt creates inside his mind that whether this goanna work or not as when he watches Glendin's same behaviour.
When he was just an inch away from putting the chip on the core the Glendin is still relaxing beside the teleportation gate as if he is sure that whatever Jason is doing is not gonna work.
Jason doesn't know where this ugly creature gets this much confidence even Jason starting to believe that it's not gonna work.
He already passed the point to change his decision but even if he had the chance why would he believe the behaviour of his enemy who knows maybe it's all acting to stop him?
Currently, he didn't know whether Rotarr and Archimedes were telling the truth or if they are also a mastermind in this plan.
Some people will say Jason a man who is past 30 that claims to be a knowledgeable person behaves like some child inside a grown man's body while talking to Rotarr whom he is fighting a few minutes before for his life and Archimedes who claims himself to be a hologram.
{A/N: Refers to the conversations Jason had with Rotarr and Archimedes}
If any senile person would have to listen to their conversation, they will only have one thought are you a child or retard, you are believing all the things a person is telling you that you had met for the first time in your life.
If not, this much is enough, they are not even human and you had no idea who they are, why they are telling you all this and how they end up here.
Most people who still would have their minds intact would have agreed to it even Jason would have agreed to it if someone told him about something like this and would have told that person that he is either bullsh*tting here or his mind is not in his place.
The saying goes listing to something thing and experiencing the same thing gives you a totally different kind of experience.
Just like that whatever other people say when Jason talks with Rotarr and Archimedes or even when he saw them, he feels a link with them a feeling that he never felt.
He don't know if they used some kind of charm spells or anything like that but the feeling he felt is a euphoric experience for him like sometimes when you saw a person but you felt like you know him already and wherever they told you something you started to believe in those things even without knowing whether it's right or wrong.
There is also a point that he did not believe their words on the first try matter of fact he still does not totally believe them it's just that all the things they had told him come out to be true.
He doesn't know how they get this much accuracy instead of believing them more, that whatever they all said comes out to be true Jason started to though that they were also a part of whatever these things are going.
This eventually led to a last question which is whether he is going to risk his planet just that doubt comes into his mind the straight answer is 'NO' even if Jason's true nature told him to leave all this behind and let his planet go doom.
His morals and rules that he made for himself never let this gonna happen also he already see enough things in one day that he didn't see in his entire life.
If anybody asks him what's the sh*tiest day of his life without a moment to think he would mention today.
Jason didn't have to think more about whether Rotarr and Archimedes are telling the truth or they are also a part of this plan as he is just a finger distance before putting the chip-like thing on the core and with that he will gain all the answers he seeks.
He is about to put the chip on the core and only just a few hair breath distances would have remained, there is still no presence or sight of any intervention of stopping him even then he still didn't stop decreasing his speed and with full power, he pushes the chip forward.
Just then he felt like something wrapped around his body and when he takes a look around his body it is some sort of octopus-like tentacles wrapped around his body.
He could not even move his head to look around as the tentacles wrapped him in such a way that he couldn't move at all even when he put all his strength, he didn't budge an inch.
Without any doubt, he knows who is behind this as there is only one being present in this room who can do this without alerting him.
He didn't have to wait further as the same creepy voice of the Glendin sounds beside his ear.
"Kekekek, so how did it feel to get so near to saving your race and failing at the last moment possible"
"Amazing isn't it"
