Why?

Why did they have to somehow be on the same page in the worst possible way? Adam didn't tell her what was going on because he didn't want to burden her and Callie didn't tell him that she needed him to talk to her because she didn't want to burden him. It was ridiculous.

She told him that he was never a burden and he dismissed it but said he would be a lot less of one now and that he would be able to do more for them now that he could go out more easily. He didn't need to do more for them though. He already did so much. 

Adam dismissed that too and started talking about plans for Christmas break like it was perfectly natural for them to go on vacation like a real family. She didn't understand. Why did he still want to play house when he could do whatever he wanted? He could obviously manage fine without them now. 

  "You…still want us to stay with you? Even though you have your life back?" Callie asked hesitantly.
