Eugene V. Samuel's Past (A)

After thirty seconds passed, a large amount of information began drilling into Eugene's brain at an unbelievable pace, and the process was so painful that he failed to stop himself from shouting out in pain.

He saw V. Samuel's childhood.

One day, after getting beaten unconscious by his bullies, V. Samuel woke up to find out that he had gained some kind of mysterious power.

He awakened his superpower at the perfect time. It was the very day when a suspicious man with a novel reputation amongst the wealthy visited their house and talked his father, also known as Robert, into pouring his wealth into this great investment opportunity.

Robert was the only child of his parents.

Since birth, he didn't have to do anything.

There were butlers to dress him up, maids to feed him, and children of wealthy men who wanted to cozy up with his parents to play with him.

His dumb parents presented everything to him on a silver platter.

The only thing Robert needed to do was wipe his shit and not make a mess, but he failed at it miserably.

He was terrible at studying and dropped out of college to start his business.

The first one ended as soon as it started. How? His best friend ran away with the money he poured into the company. He lost millions of dollars.

The next business he started had a good start, but that too was only because he had used his parent's wealth and influence to advertise the shitty product he was selling.

It quickly went downhill after his parents died in a car accident.

His business soon went bankrupt.

He didn't feel tense even then, for the wealth his parents had given him was enough for him to live a luxury for several decades.

He was an extravagant man, though, and wasted most of it gambling.

Then, he met his mother and had him.

His bank balance was in 6 figures, a nice amount, but after seeing his giggling child, he felt an urgent need to increase his wealth.

Robert agreed to invest in the man's project.

V. Samuel found the man extremely suspicious, for there were no golden rays of fortune surrounding him.

Instead, for the first time, he saw black tentacles spreading out from a man.

They stretched out of the man's back and stabbed his father.

V. Samuel almost screamed and lost his mind but calmed down after noticing that his father hadn't suffered at all.

Nothing happened to Robert, unlike what Eugene expected.

V. Samuel, however, saw cracks appearing on the six golden rays of fortune floating behind his father's back.

V. Samuel immediately understood that the man was a crook, here to fuck them up financially.

His moron of a father, however, wasn't bright enough to notice that.

He notified his father about the man being a high-profile scammer.

Robert simply laughed at his words and dismissed him.

No way in hell was he going to believe a two-year-old brat and lose out on making a fortune.

He also called in his friends to invest in the scam project.

They went absolutely bankrupt and also lost their only house and car.

After becoming bankrupt, Robert moved to a run-down house with his family.

He became a druggie and a drunkard and left the responsibility of making money and raising his child to his wife.

The first time his father got drunk as fuck was when he was only six. A green arrow had appeared before his drunk father even turned to look at him. With its appearance, a wave of information surfaced from the depth of his subconscious, giving him many explanations about it. It told him to move up the stairs and reach the safe zone to avoid his father. As he was too young and ignorant, he didn't understand why he must hide from his father. After Robert beat him up, he understood why he must avoid his drunk father.

V. Samuel was hospitalized with a mild concussion and had four teeth threatening to fall off his gums. The matter didn't blow up as his family covered up the domestic abuse incident as an accident.

The next time he was in danger of being domestically abused by his drunkard father, V. Samuel saw a green arrow appearing in his field of vision. This time, he followed its guidance. It directed him to a green circle at a certain corner of his house. His father's shouts thundered throughout the house, demanding him to come out. He didn't. Robert wasn't able to find his son until he passed out.

Each time Robert did drugs or became drunk, V. Samuel would escape to the safe zones in his house to avoid being beaten by him.

Robert liked to drink day & night, become drunk, terrify the shit out of his son, and force his wife to work like a cow.

A day came when Robert was so drunk that he tried to force himself on his wife.

When V. Samuel heard the shouts of his mother and the curses spewed out by his father, he knew that he had to man up and confront his father.

He stepped out of the safe zone even though he knew very well that as seven years old, he was no match for a 40-year-old bastard.

Robert quickly knocked him down and pinned him to the ground.

Then he began killing his only child by choking him.

Eugene, who was spectating V. Samuel's childhood, wanted to help, but he was only a ghost in this place.

He couldn't touch anything, and no one could see or hear him.

"Do you know why I hate you? If it weren't for the fact that I wanted to get the best for you, I wouldn't have fall for a scammer's trick and lost all wealth and everything to him. Why did you have to be born?! Because of you, my entire life is destroyed."

While choking him, Robert made it clear to V. Samuel why he hates him so much.

"You are a sorry excuse of a father, a truly pathetic person, and you know what, you aren't the first father to blame his failures on his son. People like you are known as scum in society." V. Samuel smirked and added fuel to the fire without any regret.

Robert wanted to do nothing but stop him from speaking forever.

Eugene saw V. Samuel surviving Robert's assault thanks to the timely assistance of his mother, who smashed a pot on Robert's head, throwing him off her child.

It was a stormy night.

It thundered outside.

Robert looked at his wife with disbelief and anger vivid in his blue eyes, as if she had betrayed him.

He began stepping up to her with the intention of beating the daylight out of her, but she ran to the table next to the kitchen, pulled out the gun she had strapped beneath it, and pointed it at him.
