Eugene V. Samuel's Past (B)

"Get out of my house!"

She shouted at him.

Robert stopped and raised his hands in defeat.

"Calm down!"

Bang!

"I will really kill you if you don't get out of my place this instance!"

She warned him that she would kill him if he didn't do as she said by firing at the ceiling.

Robert had never seen his wife this angry.

To him, his wife trembling like a terrified rabbit seemed like a devil.

On top of that, he was the type of person who was strong against the weak but weak in front of the strong.

"Alright, alright, I am leaving this place. It's not like I am desperate to stay in this shit hole."

V. Samuel saw a big and bright exclamation mark appearing above Robert, who was running towards the door.

Was he the only one who could see it?

Most likely not.

Except for him, Eugene could also see it.

An archaic voice rang in their ears, explaining to him what the red exclamation mark meant in a tone carrying no feeling.

A red exclamation mark above a person's head usually represents that they will injure themselves or die.

The brighter the red in the exclamation mark, the higher the chance that the person above whose head it appeared would die.

BASICALLY, THE RED EXCLAMATION MARK HOVERING ABOVE ROBERT'S HEAD WAS A SIGN THAT HE WAS ABOUT DOE DIE REAL SOON.

The closer Robert got to the door, the brighter the mark of death became.

The glow radiating out of it was bright enough to sting their eyes.

Eugene knew what that meant, and so did V. Samuel.

The brighter the glow of the red exclamation mark, the faster the one marked by it will die.

However, V. Samuel hesitated about stopping that man from leaving the house.

He was almost strangled to death by that man.

Even a lion wouldn't eat its cub. Yet, that man nearly killed him.

He would have died if it weren't for his mother.

In his moment of hesitation, Robert left the house and went out.

Eugene chased after him, not to stop him, as he wouldn't have done that even if he could, but to witness if he would really die.

Robert was walking like a drunk man on the streets when a tornado manifested behind him.

He didn't even get the chance to run away from it or notice it before it sucked him in.

The tornado brought him high up in the air along with many trees and cars.

Then, as if it found the things it ate too dirty to remain in it, the tornado spat them out.

He blasted out of the tornado and luckily fell into a swimming pool.

Not a single one of his bones had shattered, and he was very well alive.

He knew how to swim, and it didn't take a lot for him to climb out of the swimming pool.

"So he didn't die, but he did get hurt. It looks like this superpower really works."

Eugene had read the novel and knew that V. Samuel had the Fortune and Misfortune Seeing Eyes.

He found out that misfortune was soon to befall Robert thanks to Misfortune Seeing Right Eye of Eugene.

'Villains do die-hard and have a ridiculously long lifespan.'

That was the thing that came to Robert's mind after he climbed out of the pool.

"No wonder they say good ones die young while bad people live a long life. The secret to a long life lies in being evil. Since that's the case and I want to live for a long time, I should be extra hard on my shitty child and my slutty wife."

A smile cropped up on Robert's contorted face and as he thought about abusing his wife and child, a tent slowly raised in his pants.

Eugene stepped back from Robert in disgust. "Every child deserves loving parents, but not everyone deserves to be a parent, and Robert is one such person. I wish he would die. Maybe there is a chance he will. I can still see a bright red exclamation mark above his head. Maybe he is going to face more deadly misfortune?'

Right then, a shadow cast over Robert.

"What the hell?"

He looked up and saw death's hand moving towards his throat

His eyes widened to the size of saucers as a car spewed out by the tornado dropped on him.

Bam!

The car crushed him beneath it, breaking 207 of his bones and exploding his head like a watermelon, causing a mess of brain matter, blood, bones, flesh, and organ to splatter everywhere.

Robert died in such a ridiculous way that Eugene found it hard to believe.

Still, he was glad to see him dead.

However, he didn't know whether V. Samuel would have the same thought as him or not.
