Do You Really Mean That?!

Yren watched his friend run out, and then he turned back to the Red-headed woman who was waving for him to follow. She led him to one of the rooms in the back where Adventurer's came to trade loot they found.

"You are Tybrus's son, right? I am Ginny," The girl told him, and Yren nodded once they reached a closed door.

"Yeah, my father said I should talk to you, but what happened out there?" Yren asked, and Ginny opened the door to a room with two couches and a large table between them.

"Come inside to talk," Ginny said, gesturing for Yren to enter.

Yren nodded and entered the room, walking over to take a seat on the far couch. Ginny closed the door and took a seat on the couch next to him, to Yren's surprise.

"I hope you don't mind, but I have to be close to you to explain," Ginny said to Yren with a blush as she looked away.

This made Yren start to blush slightly, not really sure how to react to such a beautiful girl next to him. Ginny looked a bit older than him, but she must be close to his age, but Yren pulled his focus back.

"Umm, sure, I don't mind. What is wrong with my license?" Yren asked, and Ginny took in a deep breath that made her chest rise up in her brown and green guild dress.

Yren turned his gaze back down to the license in Ginny's hand to keep himself from blushing. There were five circles on the card, and each of them had an eight in them, but that didn't surprise Yren.

"Are you wearing a special item? Like something that makes you weaker?" Ginny asked, and Yren nodded but didn't pull out his pendent.

"Yeah, if you know my dad, then you know I'm a bit different," Yren said, and Ginny nodded with a smile.

"Yeah, my mom knows your dad, and she looked after your dad until I started. Now, mom is working her way up the ranks to become the Guild Leader!" Ginny said with excitement, and Yren nodded in appreciation.

This was something he didn't know, but it was good if someone who was understanding of their cause was in charge.

"That's really good to hear. I look forward to working with you in the future, and I will do my best to bring good stuff back!" Yren said with excitement.

"Good, now can you take off that Null Jewel so I can get a proper read before I tell you about your class?" Ginny asked with a smile, but it caught Yren off guard.

"What? You already knew what I was wearing?" Yren asked, not making a move to take it off.

His father had told him to trust her, but Tybrus had also told Yren to never take it off.

"Yes, there are many things that could do that, but if your dad was doing it, he would just make a basic pendant through crafting. I know that your father is extremely strong; in fact, I think he could be considered one of the strongest humans this world has ever known!" Ginny said, dropping the Dungeon license on her lap and grabbing Yren's hands, to his surprise.

"You really think so? I mean, he is scary strong, but the strongest?" Yren asked, caught up in the moment as he stared into Ginny's green eyes.

"Mhm! I always wondered why he hid his strength, but I am sure he has a good reason," Ginny said, staring back into my gray-blue eyes, but then realized what she was doing and cried out, "Oh! I am so sorry for being so forward with you like this!"

Ginny let go of Yren's hands and backed up as her face turned bright red, but Yren was no better, frozen like a statue. Yren finally got his bearings, pulled off his pendant, and put it down on the table.

This seemed to help calm Ginny, and she leaned in to inspect the Null Jewel, giving an approving nod. Then she turned back to Yren and cleared her throat.

"I am going to update your license now," Ginny said as she held out my license in both her hands, closing her eyes.

Yren watched in amazement as his license lit up with light briefly. It was different than reading about it.

"Oh dear, how are you already Rank two?! And this is an advanced skill! Why are there Three hundred Guild Points?! What is wrong with you Lent's?!" Ginny asked, looking very flustered.

"What? Hot Step is an advanced skill?! How do I have that many Guild points?!" Yren asked in response.

"No, that is what I just asked you, Yren Lent! You are not supposed to have gone into a dungeon yet! How? Wait! No, I don't want to know, but seriously. You have access to every magical skill, but you can't use magic! Hot Step is an Elemental Deviant of Flash Step, which requires Burst Step! That is a Rank seven Skill!" Ginny raged, looking clearly upset.

"Umm, sorry?" Yren said, unsure of what to say, but that didn't help.

"Mom always said she was jealous of your father, and I understood that, but it just isn't fair! Mother trained really hard, and she isn't a fraction of your father, who has only gone into a novice dungeon! And now you come in here your first day without even a Guild License and already Rank two! Gah!" Ginny complained, throwing her hands up in frustration.

"You have to remember that my father has always hidden his strength and never sought glory. I can see why it might be frustrating, but maybe you can come into a dungeon with me when I get stronger," Yren suggested, and suddenly Ginny's mood flipped.

Ginny was back over beside Yren with his hand in hers again in a blink, surprising Yren. Ginny put her face very close to his with a big smile, and Yren gulped as Ginny's ample chest started to press into him.

"Do you really mean that?" Ginny asked with excitement.
