Episode 39. Confession?

"I love you..." Dahlia said that while shy and red face.

A word I haven't heard in quite a while. Usually, normal men will be very happy to get a confession of love from a woman.

Unfortunately, right now, I don't feel anything. Even though Dahlia had kissed me though, there was no special feeling that attracted me to her.

I looked at Dahlia with my empty face.

I have to give an answer, I can't lie about this.

"Sorry... I can not take it." I looked at Dahlia with my eyes glancing to the side.

I was ready to be hit as hard as she can.

I was ready to be called cruel for making this child cry.

I can only surrender to fate.

I closed my eyes waiting for her reaction.

Being hit physically or mentally is a normal thing for me. I won't be in pain no matter how painful it is.

"You really can't, right?" Dahlia smiled while holding back tears.

I opened my eyes and was surprised.

She said something I didn't expect. Why is she just smiling like that, isn't that word so painful for you?

Without realizing it, Dahlia's mouth curved into a cruel smile.

"I've seen your past, sir..."

I got goosebumps hearing her statement. Is that also the effect of the Code?

"When you did something to me during the Teacher Test. I felt something entering me. From there, I also knew that it happened because of you. All your memories of that woman, the girl who was your ex-lover who was stolen by your friend. ...." Dahlia stuttered while lowering her head. "I saw how you killed them both with your magic. They both burned to ashes without leaving a single piece of their body." The emptiness in Dahlia's eyes wasn't a lie.

She really saw my past story from the CODE attack I did back then.

Feeling scared, I immediately took my pageblug out of my pocket just in case.

A sweat of doubt trickled down my face. My hands trembled as the secret was heard by others.

Surely those who saw it could only say.

"Imbecile, you are insensitive boyfriend. You deserve it!"

"Ha ha ha, that's ridiculous. Did you get NTR'ed?! Maybe it's because you just suck?! Ha ha ha!"

"You deserve it, because blah blah blah."

Their last words flashed in my mind.

Should I swing my blade at my own student?

The dilemma haunts me, I can only bite my teeth.

"Don't worry, I'll tell you one more time," Dahlia said flatly. "I love you, let's treat our trauma together." The sound of Dahlia extending her hand toward me sounded like she wanted to ask for help.

"Our trauma? Wait, have you also experienced the same thing?!" I said surprised.

Something I didn't think had ever happened to this girl with a flat face but smiling.

Dahlia forced her smile out. "No, it's a different matter but both scare me about having to talk to men." Dahlia held her chest which seemed to be in pain.

"Men?" I held back my words, and instantly the incident that happened to Sophia remembered me. "Are you-?!" I couldn't possibly say 'Have you ever been harassed?!'

"Have you... ever had a bad experience meeting a man?" I changed my words.

"Maybe it was like that, just before my purity was sacrificed. Someone helped me, he crushed the men who tried to attack me with a single shot of his arrow. His soft hand that tried to hold my hand vividly remembered me. Since then, that person I have always considered as my prince." Dahlia looked up at the sky with tears in her eyes.

I don't really understand what's going on, but the prince he's referring to must be Astra. He is the only man who is close to Dahlia, and also during the Teacher Test, Dahlia without many words immediately obeyed Astra's words.

I closed my eyes slowly. In that darkness, I thought as to make my decision.

In that darkness, I was also thinking about something. 'I became the thing I hated the most.'

I got the answer, I opened my eyes. "Do you prefer me over Astra, why?"

I feel guilty for doing it. Even though I don't see Dahlia as female, I can't let her go either.

The power of this CODE is too complicated.

"You dare to say that after you making me like this?" Dahlia brought her face closer to mine.

Her shy face is clearly visible in my eyes, this is getting too close. Even though my face is flat as usual, this atmosphere will still make others misunderstand what are we doing.

The sun set behind the shadow of the student in front of me. The darkness of the world has come to the square. The visitors began to leave the place.

There seems to be no more choice. I've done it, the responsibility must be done.

I sighed and looked at her red face. "Okay, I'll just do what you want for now, but remember don't expect something called sensitivity from me. You won't get it." I looked at Dahlia with a flat expression that looked ridiculous, even so, the blush on my cheeks still didn't come out.

Dahlia turned her face close to mine and smiled which made her eyes close. "He he he..." She couldn't help but widen her embarrassed smile, but that wasn't necessary for me.

Her red face said everything.

Dahlia sat back beside me and leaned over to my shoulder. Her hand wrapped around mine, she held it very gently but also firmly. My hands will be difficult to get out of the bond.

"Let's do this a little longer..." Dahlia smiled happily as she closed her eyes.

I can only see her happy while looking around. The voices of my students have also disappeared. What happened, why did they back off?

It's hard for me to think about it right now. I let it go and focused on Dahlia.

The two of us looked at the beautiful moon together for the whole night.

In my mind, I asked. 'Is this what's best for me?'

---

Back at the time when the party was held.

Sophia walked over to Erika who was sitting alone staring at her phone while smiling to herself. Rasyid and the other teachers had already left.

"Good evening, Miss Erika." Sophia greeted her teacher politely.

Even though Sophia looks like she's smiling but her evil intentions can be seen on her face.

"Ah, good night, Sophia. Sorry I was daydreaming these days," said a surprised Erika as she closed her cellphone screen.

Erika closed the screen of her cellphone which contained articles about the human mentality.

"He he he, it's okay. The burden of the mind is normal." Sophia giggled a little.

"So what's the matter, Sophia?" Erika asked Sophia with a big smile on her face.

It had been a long time since the last time the two of them had spoken. If we remember, the last time they spoke to each other was right after the Fajri incident.

"Sorry if it's a bit rude, but are you and Mr. Rasyid dating?" Sophia asked doubtfully.

Shortly after that, her eyes stared intently at the woman, she seriously wanted to pry into the contents of her own teacher's mind.

Erika who heard that immediately froze while sweating on her face.

"D-dating? How could I be with that troublemaker! Ha hahaha." Erika dodged with a face that was already like red pepper.

Sophia fell silent at the teacher's answer, but she tried to get the teacher to speak more deeply.

"Oh really, even though the rumors at school are already widespread." Sophia curled her mouth.

"Eh?! Widespread?! NO NO NO!" Erika panicked when she heard that.

What Sophia said was true, but rumors were just rumors. No one had spoken of it again since this week.

"Don't worry, it's just a rumor!" Sophia grabbed Erika's shoulder which was out of control.

A moment later, Erika finally calmed down and could catch her breath.

Sophia felt guilty after saying that, her eyes narrowed, and worried.

"Have you calmed down?"

"Already!" Erika raised her thumb.

"Back to the matter, did you like him!"

"Heh? W-why are you forcing me to talk about that annoying teacher?" Erika retracted her reddened face.

"Because I like him!" Sophia held her chest with a serious face. "That's why I have to confirm, whether you are my rival or not!"

Erika's eyes widened after hearing Sophia's statement. The student who she thought would hate a boy because of that incident actually declared right in front of her that she loved the same person.

Erika took a deep breath and then let it out.

"I like him too..." Erika's voice was low but enough for Sophia to hear.

Erika, who was evasive about her relationship with the teacher, immediately turned around and told the truth.

"But, if I want to be with him, I'll have to confess to him first. Because he never does it" Erika clutched her chest sadly.

Sophia saw the sadness of Erika who was sitting on the sofa.

The words said before the party was held by his loved ones are remembered in her head. To that person, Erika was just his savior.

How come that person can only think that far? Did he have other intentions so he could only think of Erika as nothing more?

The conversation continued to be remembered by Sophia, who was currently driving home using Stevent's car with her friends. She thought her opponent was just that teacher, but things were so out of her mind that she was caught off her guard.

The girl just held back her tears in the car.

The next morning, I was invited by my students to meet.

The boy sat waiting for me in the city's narrow alley by wiping his bow with a rag.

I walked slowly while putting my hands in my pockets just in case.

I had anticipated this would happen.

"You came at last, Mr. Rasyid." Astra's sharp eyes stared at me with anger.

He pointed his bow at me like he was ready to shoot my head.

I was prepared for this. Let's see how true you really are.
