Episodes 158. To the Fake God

The sound of the helicopter blades, piloted by Ryan, accompanied our journey to my final destination. Inside this vehicle, I was still thinking about many things, especially about the people with me right now.

"Why did all of you come?" I asked in confusion. "You all better stay out of this shit!"

It was strange; they should at least have some resentment towards me, even if just a little.

But why are they willing to come here?

"I just have a feeling... that you might need some hand there," Erika answered with a serious face and a bright, thin smile.

What Erika said made sense. Nova would soon realize that I would target her after meeting my eldest brother. It could be said that she was ready to eliminate me and take the position for herself.

She didn't seem to want anyone else who could take a life other than her; that's why she wanted to kill me immediately.

"Mr. Rasyid, didn't I once tell you... at least never try to solve such a big problem alone?" Sophia smiled while holding her chest.

I don't remember her ever saying that.

"I can only take you to the gate; the rest is up to them." Stevent turned his face away from me, looking embarrassed as he said that. "R-remember! I'm only repaying the favor you did for me back then! I wouldn't do this for free otherwise!"

He is really strange.

Well, this is Stevent. He has always been like this.

I placed my hand on my chest and smiled sadly. "Thank you... I didn't expect you all to help me. Even with what I've done to your friends-"

But my sentence was immediately cut off.

"Remember, don't bring that up!" Erika walked past me with her arms crossed. She was holding back some anger and trembling. "Just assume we're here because there's something more dangerous than you."

Hearing that explanation, neither Sophia nor Stevent didn't dare to look at me and Erika, who was standing opposite and parallel.

I nodded slowly in agreement. If that's what's best, then I mustn't further damage their trust in me.

After hearing the explanations from the three of them, I now turned to my cousin, who was piloting this flying machine.

"Why did you come along, Asshole?" I asked. "Isn't this your chance to see the person who bullies you die?"

I smiled bitterly as I said that.

But unexpectedly, a hand swung towards me.

*Smack!

It was a pretty hard slap.

"Enough with the self-pity, please... I may hate you, but you're still my family, my cousin, so stop blaming yourself. This isn't like you, you know?"

"S-sorry..."

For some reason, since the fight ended, my guilt had been swelling and constantly made me feel unforgivable.

"Besides, wasn't our issue resolved after I stomped your head to pieces back then?" He was talking about the incident during the school exam.

Honestly, I had somewhat forgotten that I had been stomped to pieces. When feeling that stomp, I didn't feel any pleasure at all, because the overwhelming guilt drowned out all the pleasure.

"You forgive me just like that?" I asked doubtfully.

"Are you some kind of masochist or what?"

Ryan brought his face closer to mine with a shocked and puzzled expression.

"N-no!"

"Hah, never mind..." He immediately moved his face away and slightly regretted asking.

Looking around me, I noticed Sophia trying not to listen to what we were talking about.

She seemed to react when Ryan mentioned the word 'masochist'.

.......

A few minutes had passed, and now I could see the tall building that was the mayor's office of Ningru City.

The place where Nova created a horrifying laboratory disguised as a civil servant's workplace.

"Are you skilled at flying a helicopter?" Something suddenly crossed my mind.

How could he pilot this thing?

Hearing that question, he just smiled faintly. "Flying this chicken thigh isn't difficult for an engineer like me," he said proudly, lifting his chest.

He hasn't changed; he's still full of antics.

"Can you..." I pointed to one of the glass walls of the building. "...crash into that glass?" I asked coldly.

We were already in a dangerous enemy territory. If I kept the situation calm, there was a possibility we wouldn't realize if there was a sudden attack.

Hearing my request, Ryan looked at me with a 'you can't be serious' expression.

"If we crash into it now, there's a chance we'll be blown to bits."

"That's true..."

I suddenly remembered. My opponent was no more a lackey like back then, but someone above me, above my brother, and above everyone. She was Nova Sana. The person who had achieved her goal, which was to become the Prince/Pangeran (God).

"Someone is watching our arrival!"

While I was thinking, Erika, who was looking out the window, gave a warning.

We all saw the signs of danger.

It wasn't a group of enemies or a machine, but just a man carrying an axe.

"Doni Kusuma..." I mentioned the man's name.

I forgot when I last saw him, but it had been a long time since our last meeting.

Seeing how he had been aware of our arrival from the start, I could confirm one thing. I had fallen into that old woman's scheme.

"So she really wants to erase your existence, huh?" Erika scowled.

"Seems like it..."

"What are we waiting for, let's greet him!" Behind me, I heard Stevent's voice, already prepared to swing his sword.

*Smack!

"Ouch!"

A hand slapped the back of his head.

"Don't be reckless, he must be very strong." In her usual flat tone, Sophia reminded him of who and how high-level our opponent was.

"Let's come up with a plan!" (Erika)

"A plan?" (Stevent)

"There can't be just him here; there must be other guards too." (Erika)

"I don't think there are any other people besides him in this building."

I could only think about Nova's behavior.

"No one else?" (Erika)

"Just to be safe, assume there are."

"Huh?"

It's not that I don't believe the old woman would send many people; it's just my cautious nature telling me to do it.

"So, which is it?" Erika asked again.

"For now, assume Nova is ready for the final showdown."

"I see, in that case... Rasyid, can you make the first attack and then let me follow it up with a combined assault?" (Erika)

"Your initial attack will be followed by Sophia, Stevent, and then Ryan. Once your first attack succeeds in getting past that man, immediately run into the building without thinking of me." (Erika)

"So, you're planning to fight that guy alone?" Sophia looked at the teacher with a fierce gaze.

Sophia hated people who thought too highly of themselves.

"Just think of it as my hobby of crushing someone who more stronger like him."

"No, I don't want to! Fighting a strong enemy should be done together!"

Their argument was making the situation even more chaotic.

*Bang!

A slam from the driver's seat was heard, a strong fist hitting the control panel, startling the two of them.

Ryan glanced sideways without turning his head as if he could see them both.

"Stop joking around; if you don't know your opponent and only know yourself, your chances of winning are only 50 percent, but if you know how strong your opponent is, your chances of winning will increase."

"So what do you mean?" (Erika)

"I will fight!"

"Why?" I asked, confused.

Since when did Ryan have a connection with Doni?

"I have unfinished business with him!" He said that with a face brimming with mad excitement.
