A coward

I followed the sound of the water until I reached where the devil was.

There was no one in the spring when I arrived.

"Devil!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, resisting the urge to laugh.

You know, I never thought calling him the devil is funny, until now. I only realized how funny it is to call him that, especially when you are shouting.

"I thought you said you are not coming here?" The devil spoke behind me.

"Gods!" I jumped in shock at not only the tone of voice he made use of, but his ability to sneak up on me without my awareness.

"I'm not the gods." He chuckled, "although I will be anything for you."

I roll my eyes at him, "can you quit that?"

"What?"

"You know what!"

"I don't know," he said with a shrug. "Why did you change your mind about coming here? I thought you said you are not interested in taking a walk?"

"You didn't leave any food." I fold my arms, darkly glaring at the devil.
