Suffering

"Where are you going Liam?" asked Darla as she saw Liam change his course of movement as they were all riding.

"I will be back" replied Liam as he smiled at Darla and he turned around with his horse as he rode to the back where Mero was as he rode beside him.

Wura saw Liam move to the back where Mero was riding, she sighed, she would leave him be, after all, she was still upset with him for the way he and Mero were so rough with each other.

"I apologize for what happened earlier" said Mero as he looked at Liam who was riding right beside him.

"I came here to apologize as well" said Liam as he smiled.

"I should not have gone so aggressive" said Mero.

"No, I am to blame as well, I should have told you to stop" said Liam.

"But I have to admit, I enjoyed our spar" said Liam as he smiled.

"I do agree" said Mero as he nodded his head and Liam smiled, he had never felt so thrilled to be doing something, the thrill of sparring he loved it, and he knew that he could trust Mero, he had a feeling that Mero was a very trustworthy person.

"Although I am afraid that nothing like that will happen again, my lady is still upset with what happened" said Mero as he looked at Wura who was ahead.

"I am sorry that I got you in trouble with Lily, Mero" said Liam.

"Not at all Liam, not at all, my lady Is just worried, she did not like what happened at all" said Mero.

"I can tell that, and she is still upset, she has refused to speak to me" said Liam as he laughed.

"The lady is very strong willed" said Mero.

"I can see that… and I believe that she is stubborn as well" said Liam.

"You do not know the half of it" said Mero as he sighed and Liam chuckled, why did it sound like Mero was silently suffering.

"Once she sets her mind to something, no one or nothing can stop her" said Mero as he sighed, he did admire that about Wura, but it was just too much for him to handle, especially when all he was trying to do was protect her.

"Not even her husband himself?" asked Liam in curiosity.

"Oh especially when it concerns him, she will never give up, I believe that it is only he who can change her mind, and even then, he does struggle a bit" said Mero as Liam laughed, it sounded like Wura was a very strong willed woman.

"He is the only one that she listens to" said Mero as Liam wondered that Wura's husband had to be someone very stubborn as well to be able to stand her.

"I would love for us to spar again, it was enjoyable" said Liam as he smiled.

"Anytime that you wish to do so, I will be ready to, but you must get permission from the lady first" said Mero as he did not want to get in trouble with Wura again.

"Do not worry Mero, I will convince her" said Liam as he smiled and he rode to catch up with Wura as Mero sighed, his brother was in there somewhere.

Wura heard Liam's horse riding right next to her, but she did not dare look at him at all, she was angry at him, very angry, so much so that she was not going to speak to him at all, she could not believe how childish they both were, she wondered how Liam never got hurt if they sparred like that.

"Lily" called Liam as Wura heard him call her, but she did not glance his way at all, she kept on looking ahead.

"Lily" called Liam again, as he knew that she could hear him, she was just trying to ignore him, but he would not allow her do that.

"Come on Lily, are you still upset with me?" asked Liam as Wura finally turned to look at him,

"Upset? Me? No of course not, I am just fine" said Wura as she smiled at him in annoyance and Liam chuckled.

"You do not look fine though" said Liam as he smiled.

"Well you are wrong" said Wura as she sighed and she looked away from him.

"Lily, I am sorry for making you feel worried or upset, Mero and I were just both caught in the moment, but I assure you that will never happen again, the last thing I want to do, Is to upset you" said Liam as Wura looked at him and she sighed internally, now there was her Liam, always taking her best interest at heart, never wanting to hurt her, she wished that Liam would just remember already.

Because it was hurting her trying to make him remember, she was tired of it, she wanted to let him know that he loved him already, and that she missed him, even though he was right here, there were so many things that were left unsaid between them, and they needed to be addressed.

"It is fine Liam, I am not upset anymore, just do not try that again, I do not want either of you getting hurt" said Wura as she sighed.

"Thank you Lily" said Liam as he smiled.

"Mhmm" said Wura as she sighed.

"So can Mero and I spar once again?" asked Liam as he smiled, and of course, now Wura knew why he came over here, he was asking her permission to be able to go and spar with Mero again.

Wura laughed internally, Liam was asking her if he could spar with his own man, it was funny, if only he knew that he was above them all.

"Oh so that is what this is all about" said Wura as she scoffed.

"No of course not, I wanted to ask for your forgiveness, but I also want to know if you will permit Mero and I to spar again?" asked Liam as Wura scoffed.

"You know what, you can do what you want, just do not call me when you get yourself hurt" said Wura as Liam just smiled at her.

"We will not hurt each other" said Liam as he smiled.

"I hope so" said Wura as she scoffed.

"Thank you Lily" said Liam as he smiled happily at Wura, and Wura felt her heart melt at his smile, it was the smile that she had missed so much, that her heart ached so much to see, his happy smile.

"You are welcome Liam…" said Wura as she smiled back at him, she felt her heart aching, that he still did not remember her.

Liam smiled as he rode his horse ahead back to Darla as Wura sighed and she turned back to look at Mero who only looked at her as she looked back ahead.

For the past three days they had been moving steady through the barren wilderness, as they were well on their way once again.

"It is too hot" said Malcom as he groaned, the heat was too much, he had sweat all over him.

"You can say that again Malcom" said Dothan as he panted, it was way too hot, this had to be the hottest day ever.

"Darla, I am sweating too much" said Dothan as he groaned like a baby and Darla looked at him as he looked at her.

"Don't whine so much Dothy, here" said Darla as she threw Dothan a leather pouch that was filled with water as Dothan caught it and he drank all the water down in one gulp.

"No, hey, you finished all the water Dothan" said Malcom as he complained, what a brother he had.

"I am sorry Malcom, but it was just too hot, and it still is" said Dothan.

"My lady" said Nora as she was riding with Zuph and she handed Wura a gourd of water.

"Thank you Nora" said Wura as she smiled, although she was fine.

"Malcom, you can have this if you want" said Wura as she smiled and she threw the gourd to Malcom as he caught it.

"Oh thank you Lily" said Malcom as he smiled at her and Darla scoffed as Wura just smiled.

In the same moment, as they all kept on riding on their horses, there suddenly came a loud roar from the sky as they all stopped, knowing that only once creature could roar like that.

"Darla… I think that the beasts are back" said Dothan in a panic as he looked at Darla, who also looked worried as well as the roar came again, but this time mightier, as if there were many others, all their horses began to neigh.

"I believe that there are more of them this time" said Mero.

"Look up" said Elihu as he pointed up and the wind began to blow as there were four beasts who were flying with their wings as the impact created a wind, and they all roared together.

"They do not seem to see us" said Zuph as in the same moment one of the beasts roared again as it caught sight of Darla and the boys as they all made their descent.

"Darla, you take the boys and run now" said Liam as he took the sword and he raised it high.

"There is no time for that Liam, the beasts will follow after them" said Mero.

"Then I guess that we will just have to kill them then" said Elihu as he got off his horse as the beasts landed and they walked on the ground towards Darla as Darla, Malcom and Dothan were all paralyzed in fear as Liam quickly got off his horse and he slashed the beast in two as it roared and the others roared at their fallen brethren as they began to scream.

The noise was unbearable for Darla and her brothers, they felt like their ears were bleeding.

"Zuph, get Darla, Malcom and Dothan after here" said Liam as he looked at Zuph and Zuph nodded his head as he quickly rode along with Nora, and he guided Darla's and the boy's horses as they rode as fast as they could.

"My lady, you should go as well" said Mero as he looked at Wura but in the same moment, one of the three remaining beasts started to turn around in a circle as it groaned, and it created a gust of wind as it did that, which caused all their horses to be startled.

"We need to kill them now" said Elihu as he got down from his horse and Mero did the same as they began to go after the beasts as they hurt them with their swords and they cried out in pain, as Wura also got down from her horse, she was curious about these beasts.

And she also saw this as a chance for her to practice what Mero had been teaching her as she took her sword with her and she mustered up all her courage as she hit one of the beasts and her sword almost looked like it was breaking.

The beast did not seem to notice Wura at all, as it kept on roaring in confusion as it could not see who was attacking it.

"My lady you should not be here" said Mero as he grunted and he looked at Wura.

"And you can while I cannot?" asked Wura as she heard a thud as the body of another beast fell down to the ground as Liam killed it, while Elihu and Mero were struggling with one of the other beasts.
