Chapter Thirty-five

That we had someone who was injured was disturbing, coupled with the distance of the house from here. I asked them to stop the truck immediately and bring the injured person to the back of the truck; it was Lex. When they had successfully moved him to the back, they got in and continued driving. I wasn't familiar with treating an injured person; all I had to do was try. He was shot in the arm and Rex had already covered it with a cloth to help the blood cloth, which was thoughtful of him. I was about to untie the cloth to remove the bullet but auntie stopped me because I was tensed and she knew I would end up complicating his condition, but I didn't see it that way. We all sat close by and we kept talking to him to keep him alive. I put a call across to Miles who helped to locate a doctor close by and we made a stop at his place.
