You tend to over word things and it snarls up the flow. Trim the unnecessary and keep your dialogue crisp by using the rule if I wouldn't say it neither should my characters. For instance you used sister in law instead of the characters name.
Your story has a unique tone to it. The plot is great and you used easy and understandable words. Please don't stop writing, I could see an upcoming bestseller Author in you. 💖💕💖💖💖

I was a little confused in chapter one but as I read on things became clear. Jade seems to be a complex person and you have done well showing his frustration with his situation. Keep up the good work
