Charles Freeman residents.

Adrian just returned from his office. He was surprised that Iyare was not in the office. He was informed that she had been working from home for some days.

He could not help but feel that something was wrong. He thought of visiting her, but he changed his mind. He did not want to give her a false impression. He was about to walk upstairs when one of his guards approached him.

"Drogo is here to see you," the guard informed him. Adrian froze for a minute before regaining himself. "Let him in. Tell him I will join him soon," Adrian said and went into his room.

Honestly, he did not want to have any deal with that man, but his father had already made a deal with him. He knew that the man would not take no for an answer. How disappointing. He could not even afford to offend him.

Two years ago, Charles and the man called Drogo made a deal. That deal led to the death of Mr Onosa but what they did not expect was a child from nowhere to be his heir. At that time, they confirmed that Adrian was his heir. How, when and why he changed the will, nobody knows. They were not even such if the man had deliberately played them.

Adrian did not want to underestimate Iyare. He knew patience was the key, but he also knew that all Drogo knows is killing, no planning and no patience.

He wondered why the man was here to see him. Did he not read the news? He currently has no power to help him.

Adrian sighed before he changed into something more comfortable. "Let's go find out what he has to say," Adrian muttered before heading out of his room.

Drogo was sitting between two of his bodyguard while sipping the wine in his hands. He was a man in his fifties.

Adrian walked into the sitting room and sat opposite him. "What do I owe this visit?" He asked.

"I heard what happened to your Dad," Drogo said. Adrian raised his brows. "I also heard you have taken his chair in the company."

Adrian gave him a lazy look. He was going to find a way not to work with this man. So he made sure to look uninterested.

"You should finish what your father started," Drogo said.

"My father finished what he started with you; Mr Onasa is dead. So I think the deal ends there. You know my family have no influence on the underworld. We use Mr Onasa's influence, so there is no way I can be of help," Adrian said.

"I know that, but you are close to her, and I need her dead. Do that, and I will ensure you are protected," Drogo offered.

"How can I do that? As you said, you heard what happened to my father. He also tried to kill her,' Adrian said; he was beginning to suspect Iyare's involvement in his father's situation.

Drogo took a sip of his drink. He already guessed that she would be challenging to deal with; he watched how she slit the throat of his men.

"I heard that you are having a staff meeting on Friday. Twelve hours long. I think you can find the opportunity to poison her," he said.

"I don't think that can work. I am not on the planning committee. Besides, the girl will suspect me if I serve her a drink. She has someone for that," Adrian lied. He did not know about Iyare's plans, but he was not getting involved with Drogo; the man can't be trusted.

"I don't care how you do it. Just get it done," Drogo snapped at him, seeing that he was unwilling to cooperate.

"No, I will not, "Adrian refused.

"Then you can say hello to Onosa for me," he said, pointing a gun at Adrian.

Adrian smiled, "I guess we would say hello together," he said, looking at the drink in his hand.

"Don't try to play tricks, boy; I would know if poison was in the drink," he snapped at him. "I guess Mr Onosa would have said the same, don't you think?" Adrian answered, he looked at Drogo without fear.

"How dare you," Drogo roared.

"You should have thought about that before trusting us with that poison, don't you think?" Adrian smirked back. Droge clenched his fist and then gently dropped his gun.

"Can't you see, we are in this together?" Drogo said calmly. "The group in the underworld has run a check in her; Onosa seems to have been training her for his position for the last five years."

Adrian was shocked at the revelation. When they first found out about the will, they did run a check on her, but there was nothing about a connection with Onosa.

"Are you sure?" Adrian asked, still confused about the turn of events.

"Yes, I am certain. You know I can't rival Onasa contact, so many people will prefer to do business with her. The only way I can get what I want is when she is dead," Drogo said.

"You think too much about killing. Have you thought about sabotaging her work?. If she losses credibility, then people will be forced to work with you instead. I am sure you already tried to kill her and failed; that is why you are here, right?" Adrian asked; he was no fool. Drogo would not make a deal with him if he could get rid of Iyare himself.

"Well, I already gave you solutions; thanks for the visit," Adrian said, getting up when he saw Drogo refused to answer his question.

Drogo also got up. "Antidote?" He asked.

"Oh, that, I will not be giving it to you now. I will have someone send it to your residents," Adrian answered.

"You.." Droge roared, his hand clenched into a fist, and his eyes turned red with anger. His chest rises and falls; Adrian would have died if Drogo did not need him for the antidote.

"It is the safe thing to do; after all, there is no guarantee that you will not shoot me in the head after you collect the antidote. Besides, it is not available here. So go home and wait," Adrian replied with a small smile.

Drogo could tell that he was truanting him, so he stormed out before he lost his mind out of anger.

Adrian's smiles became brighter when Droge left. He could not let anything happen to Iyare until he had succeeded in making her his. Who knows, she might have willed her property to charity or the family that cared for her as a child if she dies now.

An underground office.

"It has been confirmed that Mr Onosa had a daughter," a man reported to another man who had his back agaist him. From his air, one could tell that he is the Boss.

"She beat Charles and son?" The Boss asked, his back still looked straight but there was surprise in his eyes.

"Yes, it is just like the article said; Mr Onosa gave all his shares to her; there is nothing the father and son can do about it," the man replied.

"I want to know everything about her; I will give you five days," the boss said.

"I have checked; there is nothing," the man replied with cold sweat.

"Check again until you find something; if you can't, then don't show your face to me again," the Boss was angry. He did not believe that a person's information could be wiped completely.
