Amina followed Merry into her room and ensured to lock the door from inside. She then brought out her phone to call Ohio. She was lucky that his company sent him on a business trip that would take a week or more.

So she lied to him that she would visit her cousin in another state in Ng while travelling to Ua.

Ohio's handsome face flashes on the screen once he accepts the call.

"Hello, babe," Amine said, smiling brightly at him.

"Hey sweet, how was your night? why are you up so early?" Amina frowned her brows when she heard him. she wanted to say she had just had dinner, but she immediately bit her tongue to stop herself.

'That was close', she thought. She was supposed to be in Ng, and the time should be 5 am. "My night was fine just missed you so much, " Amina answered.

"Oh sweet, I missed you too," Ohio smiled.

"So tell me, what's your plan today? Are you going shopping with your cousin?" he asked.

"No, I want to go back to sleep. You know the road trip was really stressful, and I still feel exhausted," Amina answered.

"Oh, I see; you should take care of yourself. I just got out from meetings with the client. I am heading back to my hotel soon," Ohio Informed her.

"You must be tired yourself; how about we talk when I am fully awake, and you have rested," Amina suggested. She was a terrible liar; she knew he could easily catch her lies if they continued talking.

"Okay, sweet, text me when you are free. Remember to stay out of trouble," he warned before ending the call.

Amina breathed a sigh of relief. "I am already in trouble, babe," she said, knowing he could not hear her. Amina hopes that that lady will keep her promise of letting her go if she doesn't want the job. So She could book the next flight before her lies get exposed.

She lay down to sleep but suddenly remembered why Ohio was working so hard. They were planning to relocate because Ng was not safe for her. Since her former employer may still be on the lookout for her, with this in mind, Amina decides to find out about her new job offer.

If the offer is excellent, then she could find a way to convince Ohio to move with her. So she got her laptop and typed in the search bar.

She carefully read the information she could find about the Onas group, and everything about it looked legit. She was not sure of the position that Iyare wanted to offer her, but she knew the pay would cover a lot. She heard that even cleaner earns a lot of money working in extensive cooperation like Ona groups. Quee city will be a perfect place to move to. The city has a high level of security since it is the home of the upper class.

Until now, she was still unaware of her inviter's name. She must be a big boss in the company, maybe a director, Amina thought when an article popped up on her screen.

"Meet The New Boss Of Ona group." Amina read the headlines

She became curious, so she immediately clicked on it. Amina's brow came together when she caught sight of the lady; she thought the lady should be a director. It turns out she was the big boss, Amina, thought as she continued to read the article. Amina paused when she read the first line.

(Iyare Onasa, the long-lost daughter of Mr Onasa, returns to take over her father's company.)

"Long lost? Was she kidnapped or something. Like in the movies where a wealthy child is kidnapped, her parents look for her for years." Amina wonder

"Iyare..." The name rang a bell in her head. She widened her eyes when she remembered something.

Flashback

A few days ago, Amina stood still in shock after Iyare's mother slammed the door in her face. She had expected that, but she was still surprised. She shook her head and was about to leave when she heard the crying voice of the woman inside.

"I am sorry, I couldn't love her..." Amina heard and immediately became curious. So she leans closer to the door to listen better.

Iyare's family lived in a poor neighbourhood, so the houses were not sound proof besides, Iyare's mother was a bit loud.

"I could not love our daughter. My love was weak, and my faith in us was weak. That's why you never made it into the new life you promised me," Amina heard the woman say in between her sobbing. She could tell the woman was crying.

"Do you hate me now?" Amina heard the woman ask. She imagines she must be talking to a picture or some imaginary person standing in front of her.

"I should have loved her, protected her, but what did I do. I ensured her death. What!" Amina exclaimed in her head. She could not understand what she meant 'by ensuring' Could it be that she lied to the fire service that no one was inside. That was why Iyare got burnt beyond recognition? Amina asked herself.

"She was the fruit of our love, but I called her curse. Maybe our love was cursed because of me. I was so weak. Maybe I never really understood what love meant. How can I love you but hate her? How is that possible?"

Amina noticed a pause, so she decided to walk away but just when she turned, she heard the woman inside shouting.

"you should have come for me as promised. You lied to me; my life is miserable because of you. So what! I have taken care of her for 25 years; I guess it's your turn," the woman said.

Amina felt she had heard enough, so she quickly left. She felt pity for the woman inside, but somehow she felt the woman deserves the pain. Finally, she understood why the woman hated Iyare. It was because of Iyare's father. Amina felt glad the monster who molested her friend was not her father.

End of flashback.

Back to the present, Amina looked at the lady in the picture. Although she had met her in person, she did not pay attention to her. But right now, looking at the woman in the picture closely, she could see some little resemblance.

She knew it was stupid, but she could not help herself. Maybe it was just her wishful thinking. But there was very little coincidence. How can her friend Iyare meet another Iyare who has similar features to herself? Especially the eyes and lips.

Of course, the body size was different, but for a strange reason, she felt there was a possibility of them being the same person.

Amina took a deep breath. She was not the type to jump to conclusions. She was also not the type to leave any doubts in her mind. So she decided to find out if this Iyare was her friend. Even if she knew it was stupid, she wanted to clarify the one percent chance.
