Hi.

With a swing of its sword, the giant mechanical robot had parted the earth to create an incredibly long and deep valley. But the main target, Horu, was unaffected by the giant mechanical robot's grand slash and had cut it down with a light chop to the giant's head.

Thinking back now, it seems as though the mutants that were decimated by Horu had a certain air of courageousness and bravery to them, which even mutant kings shouldn't have. No, not even the Mutant Gods of Mutant Myth Realm had this air around them.

Then, what if the mutants he killed without blinking an eye were really just disguised humans as Sion said? Horu thought about it for a bit but found the ghost's conclusion to be unbelievable. If they were humans to begin with, why did those disguised as mutants attack the two of them without hesitation?

"Oh well, seeing is believing…Let's set up a trap for those mutants. If they really are humans, I'll try to talk it out with them." In the end, Horu still didn't believe in Sion's conclusion and decided to catch a mutant to verify for himself.

When the sun fell behind the snowy mountains in the west, Horu began to set up his trap while Sion floated back into the city to look for parts for their mobile teleporter. Of course, while the two of them were minding their business, demonic beasts and treants started to appear in the corner of the ruined city.

Upon further notice, there was also a hooded person within this dangerous group of beasts that the animals and trees were protecting. The hooded person held a black book with demonic engravings carved on its cover in one arm and a long brown staff embroidered with green gems in their other.

Thinking that no one else was around, the hooded figure chanted out some words while they smacked the black book in their hands with their staff a few times. When the hooded figure stopped their chanting, an altar half the size of a banana tree rose from the ground seconds later. When the altar appeared, the hooded figure quickly got onto their knees as a distorted voice began to resound through their head.

'Greetings, Wild Witch. I see that you've made it to the Ruins of Kashgar safely.'

"Yes, it was a long and boring journey. I better be paid double when I get back, Sir..." The hooded figure grumbled back. If it wasn't due to the appearance of a mysterious and fast desert demon that wiped out nearly all of the of his organization, a Demonizer like himself wouldn't have been deployed here.

But it was this moment that Sion had finished his search of metal parts and had noticed the peculiar increase of demonic beasts within the ruined city. And when he followed the demonic beasts back to their origin, he was actually surprised to see the shrouded figure kneeling before a stone pillar.

Besides that, since Sion was a high level wandering ghost, he was naturally perceptive to the telepathic conversation happening between the hooded person and the being on the other end of the stone pillar. Thus, being the nosy ethereal being he was, Sion quietly released his powerful spiritual sense at the shrouded person before hijacking their telepathic conversation.

And, unless there was someone who possessed the third eye or were unusually perceptive to the supernatural, Sion didn't have to worry about being found out since he was a ghost! Even powerful cultivators back in his home world had to squint their eyes really hard just to make out the outline of his ghostly shape, much less even peek at his face.

"If only those desert guards were Demonizers and took care of the desert demon themselves. You know how much I hated going to the Ruins of Kashgar! The green Sun is especially hot here!"

"Sadly, they were not and were wiped out as a result. Therefore, it is your mission to eliminate the threat. Of course, if you can extract its soul and bring it back here, the organization will pay you triple the original rewards for completing this mission." The distorted voice added.

"You should have said so earlier. If it's like that, then this witch will hunt and kill this desert demon gleefully." The Wild Witch deviously smiled.

10 minutes later...

The Wild Witch and the distorted voice exchanged a few more pleasantries before bidding farewell to each other.

But before the telepathic call disconnected completely, Sion the nosy ghost, who was listening from behind the entire time finally opened his mouth and greeted the two on the line, "Hi."

Although it was just simple greeting from a nosy ghost, the Wild Witch actually jumped before nearly dying from a heart attack due to how fast his heart beat. Never in his life did the Wild Witch felt fear in his life before. He had been in this ruined city for over two days now and hadn't spot anyone. So, how did a person sneak up to him so casually? Was the person behind him a demon? Was this person the desert demon the organization wanted him to kill? How would he kill something he couldn't even detect? Fuck this, he wanted to go home now.

Besides the fear stricken Wild Witch, even the person on the other end of the telepathic call also broke out in cold sweat when a third voice suddenly appeared in his telepathic call.
