A Long Night (Ch.20)

One was a little piece of red leather that formed a dress Kaylani knew would stick to her curves like a second skin, although Kaylani admitted she did like the style of the dress.

Kaylani recalled Damon had gotten her this dress once when they had gone out on a vacation, the other was a little sexy black dress that Summer had gotten her,

Kaylani smiled slightly as she pointed to the black dress, Summer had always been the best at getting her clothing that suited her tastes and in Kaylani's opinion, the red leather dress was simply too eye catching.

"I wasn't going to let you go with the other anyway." Summer said with a grin as she tossed the red dress away carelessly.

It took another half hour for Summer to work her magic on Kaylani's black tresses before she headed into the washroom herself to get ready.

Summer was done in a jiffy and took sometime to do her make up before she curled her brunette tresses and pulled out a black leather dress she had brought along.

Kaylani rolled her eyes to see Summer had come along with clothing, it seemed she had already planned for the night out all along.

"Don't look at me like that, haven't you heard the phrase 'Be prepared for anything?' " Summer asked with a roll of her eyes as she tossed a pair of heels to Kaylani.

Kaylani grumbled beneath her breath as she pulled on the heels before she rose to her feet and grabbed a clutch and her credit card.

"Come on." Summer said impatiently as she hurried down the stairs and Kaylani followed after.

The two headed out to Summer's car since Kaylani's car was still being worked on.

Kaylani got into the passenger's seat whilst Summer turned on the ignition and Kaylani leaned against the cold leather.

"So, where to?" Kaylani asked,

"There's this new club in town, one of my client owns it. Big shot actor with all the money to waste and all, he asked me to stop by sometime."

"Dude was tripping, but who could blame him? Anyways, it's like the biggest deal in town right now, VVIP levels and I've been wanting to go there for like forever!" Summer exclaimed,

Kaylani sighed, shaking her head as she again lamented her life choices to end up with a party crazy photographer as a best friend.

"Oh, don't be like that! You'll love it, I promise." Summer assured as they drove through the streets lit up by the street lamps.

After a short while, Summer pulled up into the parking lot of an extremely luxurious club with the neon lights forming the name 'Roar.'

"How ingenious." Kaylani murmured as Summer excitedly hopped down the car, tossing the key over to the varlet.

Kaylani stepped out, glancing over at the array of expensive and luxurious cars packed in the parking lot and lot more driving in.

Kaylani cringed as she could imagine just how crowded this 'Club Roar' already was and immediately, she began considering retracing her steps and heading back home.

"Don't you even think about it Lani!" Summer warned, hurrying over to Kaylani's side, she grabbed her hand and pulled her along with her into the club.

Kaylani sighed as she resigned herself to the fact that this was going to be a very long night.
