"Are you hurt anywhere? Are you hungry? Do you want to eat?" He just stared at the Prince with confusion
"Okay stay there Brother and wait for me, I'll call the physician"
"Wait!" Zach called
"What...what happened? why am I..?"
"You were found unconscious on the ground by a knight and he brought you here, you were asleep for three days and I was really worried you know?" The Prince said as his tears fell.
Seeing a six-year-old cry in front of him, he immediately comforted him with a hug and said
"I appreciate your help and thank you for saving me"
The Prince then stopped crying
He slowly pushed him back out of the hug to see if the Prince had calmed down, seeing that he did he then asked
"Well can this little hero tell me his name so I can thank you properly?" Zach asked while smiling
The Prince just stood there stunned and didn't utter a single word.
"Hmm?" Zach looked confused as to why he wasn't answering
"Brother Zach you don't remembe-"
"Oh! You're awake!" the physician interrupted
"Your Highness can I please borrow him for a minute?" the physician asked nicely
"I-I'll be leaving then," The Prince said then left
"Your Highness?..." Zach asked the physician
"I thought you knew each other..?"
"But...I don't recollect...anything of him"
"What?!"
"I faintly remember getting beaten up, that's all"
"What's the last thing you can remember then?"
"My Step Mom and Dad discussing that they'll be renting money from the King" Zach said
"That was a year and two months ago lad"
"...a year ago..." Zach faintly said
"So where's my Dad now?" Zach asked suddenly
"He..." the physician averted his gaze.
"He had been executed together with your Step Mom"
"Oh, I see.."
"Are you sad?"
"I feel bad for them" Zach casually said
"So...that kid- I mean His Highness, is he...?" Zach added
"You're also just a kid"
"I'm older than him, but aside from that...do you think that he's alright?"
"He's probably really unhappy but you don't have to force yourself if you can't recall anything about him, he's a smart kid I'm sure he'll understand"
"Oh...okay"
"Well please eat up first, you've been asleep for quite a while, your body needs to replenish its stamina" the physician then handed him the food
"Thank you"
Five days have passed and Zach has regained his energy and completely recovered from his injuries and bruises. The Queen heard about this and asked for his presence.
''Your Majesty" Zach greeted the Queen
"Zach, you can raise your head," the Queen said
Zach raised his head and looked at the Queen
"Do you have someplace you can go?" the Queen asked Zach
"..I-i don't Your Majesty.."
"Then you'll be living here"
"A-are you sure Your Majesty?"
"Yes, I'll be providing you a place to stay and education"
Zach looked delighted but he didn't want to receive the Queen's invitation.
"Forgive me Your Majesty but I can't just accept your kindness"
"Well, then are you willing to work for me after you complete your studies?"
"Absolutely, Your Majesty!"
"Then I'll have you train swordsmanship as well directly under the best Knight Commander we have"
Zach was surprised and scared but he just thought of it as a way of repaying Her Majesty so he agreed shortly after some consideration.
"Thank you, Your Majesty! I'll be leaving now"
"Zach" the Queen called just before he left
"Yes, Your Majesty?"
"You can start your studies and training next week"
"As you wish Your Majesty"
Zach then left and head straight to the room that was given to him.
