The Name

J began making his way down the two rows of chairs that were on either side of the table checking each chair to see if there was a vibration or not. J walked down the entire front side row of chairs and still hadn't found his chair but by the halfway point through the other side of chairs, he finally found the one meant for him.

'Found it!' J said in his mind with excitement as he finally found a chair that doesn't have a vibration when he walked toward it but even though he didn't feel a vibration on his chest he still felt a vibration on his back from the little girl still sound asleep.

J had no clue what to do with her at this point since he really wanted to sit in his seat to find his name but also enjoy the meal in front of him that was slowly becoming colder and colder by the second.

However, if he were to sit down it would electrocute the girl behind him and he didn't want that so he decided to try and find her chair first. He looked to his right and began going back down the chairs but as if it were by the grace of god the very first chair he went to which was on the right beside his own didn't get a vibration from the girl on his back.

'What are the chances?!' J screamed with excitement in his mind as he took the girl off of his back slowly so as to not let her fall from his grasp and injure her.

Once the girl was off of J's shoulders and in his hands he took the girl's smaller hand and placed it on her chair with his three fingers on top of hers so that it technically wouldn't be his hand touching the chair but instead the actual owner. He then proceeded to use this tactic to slowly pull out the chair and place her in the seat.

Lucky for J she didn't fall out of the seat or end up in a weird position when he sat her down and she just sat in the chair peacefully asleep with her piece of paper right under her. When J remembered her piece of paper he cursed himself for not checking what it was but he couldn't turn back time so he just focused on his own piece of paper that still brought a smile to his face.

J grabbed the edge of his seat and pulled it out enough so that he could grab the small slip of paper in his seat and then sit down in front of the delicious food. By this point many others had found their seat and had sat down beginning to eat their food while others were still searching for their seat.

After glancing at the others J finally decided it was time to look at his own slip as he pulled it up to his eyes turning it over so that he could see the words printed on the slip. The words were in times new roman and in a smaller font that made J squint even though it was right in front of his face. There was only one word on the slip and it was a word that made J happier than he had ever been since waking up in the game.

It said the word Jonathan.

'My name is Jonathan?' Jonathan thought to himself as he took in the words that were plastered in ink right in front of him.

Though it may not seem like something impactful to many it was important to him since it was the only thing that connected him to his past self before the games had begun. Jonathan glanced up once more to check on the others and saw that everyone was seated now and there were mixed emotions all over the place.

There were many that were laughing and chatting with others while eating and then there were those that were ugly crying as they finally knew their real name. J also glanced toward the person that had taken the seat to his left and realized that the person sitting right beside him was the redhead who was just staring blankly at the piece of paper in front of him.

"What does it say?" Jonathan asked wondering what the redhead's name was. Jonathan's voice also brought the redhead out of his thoughts as he also realized that he and Jonathan had been placed next to each other.

"It says my name is Derek." The redhead or Derek said as he finally knew his real name. Jonathan just smiled at this and introduced himself as well.

"Mine says Jonathan. It's nice to finally introduce myself." Jonathan said as he reached his hand out for a handshake which Derek gladly accepted.

*MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH*

Right as Jonathan and Derek were about to continue talking they heard an eating sound to their right which was a little obnoxiously loud. It sounded like what a pig or a goat would sound like when eating out of a trough.

When they turned their eyes to see who was making the sound their eyes almost jumped out of their sockets. The one making the loud eating noises was also the one behind all of the struggling during the first game. It was the little girl that had been asleep on Jonathan's back the entire time.

She had wakened up and reached her small arms over the table having her elbows barely touching the edge due to her height and she was using her hands to pull the drum of chicken into her mouth and also using her hands to slowly pick at some of the vegetables before placing others to the side of the plate.

The little girl must have sensed the gazes of both Jonathan and Derek since she turned her eyes toward them as well before placing her chicken on the plate with sauce still smeared on her face, "What is it?" She asked in a cute voice.
