Task Completion

Crista clenched her fists and then entered the testing device. She closed her eyes to prevent being startled by anything but with the tension building inside of her, she started glowing again.

After a long while the device could still not figure out what her ability was and the wait further increased her nervousness just like that her clothes disappeared and as the range of her ability increased the testing device also disappeared, turning into particles of light and flying towards Crista.

Pel shook his head and walked to her who was now standing naked. With that, he held her hand again and Crista snapped her eyes open but did not pull away.

After her glow dimmed again Pel gave her another set of clothes.

The instructors were dumbfounded by the scene and Clinton could not help but recall Pel's warning. 'The principal is gonna kill me'

"So what do you think?" Pel asked and Clinton's face could not help but twitch.

'What do I think? I feel like selling you off to another academy' though his thoughts were so, he remained calm on the outside. "It seems her ability is more fatal than normal destruction"

"And she doesn't run out of mana" Pel added.

Instructor Clintin was shocked and could not help but turn to Crista. 'Even the most powerful person will eventually run out of mana, unlimited mana will make even the weakest a very troublesome opponent'

With a solemn expression, he led them to the principal's office after all such a decision had become too big for him.

"Pel what brings you here?" the principal said in an almost unfriendly tone.

"I need to get her enrolled as a student of the academy" Pel explained.

The principal turned to Instructor Clinton who then explained everything till when Crista destroyed the testing device.

"What kind of ability is that?...Who is she?" the principal said with a frown.

"Her name is Crista, I found her on the west side of the forest" Pel said.

"The west side?...isn't that where our students have disappeared lately?"

Pel then explained that Crista still had no control over her ability and would react on its own with the slightest emotional disturbance.

The principal felt like pulling his hair off. "And you brought her to the academy!!"

"I can pacify her ability and hopefully there won't be any more deaths due to her" Pel said seriously.

The principal was losing his mind. "Hopefully? Are you out of your mind, why would you bring someone so dangerous into the academy?"

"Leaving her in the forest is not safe either" Pel said.

"Still, she can't stay in the academy" the principal said firmly.

Pel felt Crista grip his hand and he turned to her before starting back at the principal. "I have already given my word, if you won't let her in, I'll just have to find an academy that will"

The principal's face distorted. "Are you threatening me?"

"Why are humans unbelievable, what I said does not imply you but on myself leaving. You only have to make a choice"

The principal sucked in cold breath, things were getting out of hand and there was no way he could let Pel leave, the Teron family wouldn't spear him. Forget his position he might struggle to keep his leaf when the elders got angry.

"Why don't we just calm down" he said in exasperation.

"Time is limited, I have to hand in my task and start producing a cloth she can wear without destroying, there are other things so staying here is only exhausting more of my time"

The Pel said it made the two men frown but neither of them could do anything about it.

"As a student, she is supposed to have a watch but with her abilities just a waste" The principal finally said.

Pel did not refute and eventually, it was decided that her information would just be in the database so even without the watch she will be considered a student.

Pel and Crista then went to the Mission Hall and this time it was straight to the counter.

"What do you know, you came back alive or you did not go in the first place?" the girl behind the counter asked with a raised eyebrow.

"You can check my watch I'm pretty sure it kept track of my movement.

The girl did not say anything and just collected his watch to verify his claim. After that Pel made his report and the girl was surprised that Crista was the reason.

Pel did not give away much about Crista's ability since it wasn't necessary and just said the important thing that was required to finish the task.

Then the reward was sent to Pel's account while the news about the task completion spread among the students of the academy.

Now that that was taken care of, Pel took Crista to his dorm room which lead to another series of dramas.

Meanwhile, with the absence of Pel, many students could not get the space ring and that included Damien who was still angry about Pel's blatant disrespect.

Damien was drying his hair after coming out of the bath when he heard his phone ringing.

After seeing it was his brother calling, he picked up looking confused.

"Hello brother"

"You sound alright but I'm very sure you won't be soon" his brother scoffed. Damien could hear the anger in his voice.

"What do you mean?"

"Why are you so stupid? You know there are many it's watching you but you still do nothing to elevate your position. Even when such an opportunity has come you do not make yourself useful"

"But I don't understand what you're talking about" Damien said with a frown.

"Everyone is talking about the space ring even Quinn who is from a branch was able to get one or two for the elder as a gift while you stay there doing nothing. Do you know the others are planning to send you away to a branch of the clan?"

Damien's face immediately turned pale. "I tried to get the ring but the idiot boy refused to sell it to me" he said gritting his teeth.

"You can you've already antagonized him that much? You really can't be saved, I just hope mom doesn't break down when you are moved" with that his brother hung up leaving Damien with a grim expression.
