Fu Tinghao: A Gentle And Easygoing Man

The wind blew lightly, making Tang Wan's dress flutter lightly. Her long black hair were loose and the blew lightly along with the gentle wind.

She was sitting on the swing in the garden quietly and was reading a book. The book was a comic. The swing moved lightly with her movements as she smiled whenever she encountered something funny.

As she sat quietly in the beautiful garden surrounded by flowers of different varieties, she looked extremely charming and beautiful like an ethereal beauty.

Fu Tinghao stood by the door that led to the garden, staring at her quietly. From the place he was standing, he could see her side profile.. Her head was lowered and a strand of hair fell beside her ears.

As he stood there watching her small movements, his lips curled unconsciously. But he shook his head, disrupting the messy thoughts that were crawling their way over into his head.

He slid his hands into his pockets and strode in towards her. She didn't seem to notice his presence even as he walked down the cleared path between the flowers and stood behind her.

He stood there for about two minutes, just quietly watching her. She flipped a few more pages of the comic book and Fu Tinghao noticed the name written in bold, italic letters: 'SQ Begin W/ Your Name'

He raised an eyebrow. He wasn't really familiar with the book but one of his nephews liked to read it. It was a romance comedy.

He was still lost in thought when Tang Wan turned lightly, probably intending to change positions and sit comfortably.

Their gazes met and she exclaimed in surprise, "Doctor Fu? When did you come?"

Fu Tinghao smiled lightly and moved slightly from her back. "Just now. I saw that you were reading and didn't want to disturb you."

"Oh." Tang Wan nodded in realization and shifted over to an edge of the two-seater swing before looking at him. "Come sit."

The man watched her movements and acquiesced, taking a seat beside her. He glanced at the book in her hands which she had subconsciously closed earlier and asked, "What are you reading?"

Tang Wan looked down at the book in her hands before looking at him. She smiled. "It's a comic."

Of course, Fu Tinghao knew. He just needed a conversation starter.

He nodded at her words and he shifted more comfortably on the seat. The swing wasn't exactly high and it seemed odd with him sitting on it due to his height but it was sturdy enough to contain his weight.

He folded his legs casually and stared into the distance. Tang Wan also followed his movements subconsciously and saw that he was not staring at anything in particular.

So, she returned her attention to him, watching him carefully. He was putting on a white shirt tucked in a pair of black pants. Since he was taller than the swing, he had to lean back to avoid hitting his head.

Coupled with the way he sat with his legs folded, he looked extremely relaxed. His handsome face was in full view to Tang Wan. His features were sharp but because he always smiled and he had an easy-going personality, he looked very gentle and elegant.

Tang Wan subconsciously smiled. She had a good opinion of the man. He was nice, gentle and talented. He was also very patient with his patients.

She noticed that she was staring longer than she should and turned away, facing her front once more. Fu Tinghao also knew she had been staring but he didn't mention it to save her some embarrassment.

He pursed his lips and asked, "Is the comic good? I saw you were laughing."

Tang Wan smiled, flipping the pages of the book casually. "Yes. I borrowed it from Nurse Yun. Apparently, she bought it for her daughter." Then, she looked at him, her eyes slanting. "You told me to read books. Do you remember?"

Fu Tinghao nodded. He had advised her to read more books and relax during one of their frequent therapies. He looked at her. "How are you feeling?"

Tang Wan paused in her actions. She knew he was referring to the scene she caused three days earlier. She sighed and looked up. "I'm fine."

Then, she lowered her head sentimentally. Fu Tinghao looked at her, not saying a word. The atmosphere was dull and somber. Just when he thought she wasn't intending to say anymore, she suddenly spoke. "Do you think I'm scary?"

She lifted her head and looked at him. When she saw he wasn't replying, she repeated, "Do you think I'm scary?"

Her clear eyes stared at him quietly and unmoving, waiting for his reply. Fu Tinghao had never been one who fancied lying and coupled with the way she was staring at him fixatedly, he couldn't even muster a lie.

He shook his head negatively. "No. you're not scary." He looked at her. "You're just impulsive."

Tang Wan lowered her head. She knew he didn't want her to think too much. But it didn't help much. Impulsiveness was just a more polite way of saying she was dangerous.

Fu Tinghao knew she was overthinking things the moment he saw her somber look. So, he said. "That moment, your eyes were dark. Soulless. It was as though you were completely extracted from yourself."

Then, he paused. "That was the only scary part."

"You were not scared when I tried to stab you?" Tang Wan asked, sitting up in surprise.

Although, she couldn't remember what had happened, she heard the nurses talking about it. So, she had an inkling of what had happened.

Fu Tinghao laughed. His voice was hoarse probably because he wasn't laughing out loud and suppressing it. There was a tremor to it that made Tang Wan feel strange. It was a strange feeling that blew across her heart and tickled her gently.

But, it was gone almost immediately it came, rendering her unable to figure out what it was.
