CHAPTER 21: TRUST

After everyone finishes packing their belongings, they move out of the resthouse. One carriage with four strong horses was seen outside with Agi leaning against it.

"Kairi, how are you?" Agi approached Kairi after seeing him being carried out by Rafiz on his back.

He saw what happened through Aries's help.

"I should have not left them that time..." He felt remorseful.

But, he was very grateful to Rafiz. He never thought a Deorc Star user would be caring for their leader and willingly betrayed his organisation for his sake.

"He must have known that Kairi was Bright Star's leader for a long time... But, why would he protect him?" He thought.

He hopes Rafiz did not have any plan and betray them later. Agi was unable to trust Rafiz yet even though he saw how many times Rafiz had protected Kairi through Aries.

"Not so good, I think," Kairi replied with a small smile.

There was a little sweat on his forehead because the movement touched his wounded place. Aries with a handkerchief wipe the sweat for him.

"Agi, please heal him," Aries asked for his help.

Agi nodded. With a quiet voice, he chanted a spell. Suddenly, a circle of stellar surrounded Kairi.

Kairi felt the pain all over his body was alleviated. He got off Rafiz's back and moved a bit. He was amazed because he no longer felt the pain.

"Are you feeling better now, Kairi?" Asked Rafiz. He checks Kairi's body all over with his eyes.

"Yes. Thank you, Agi." Kairi appreciated his help.

"No problem. Let's move out." Agi ordered them.

Everyone scattered to leave. Some of them have bought horses for the ride. While the rest sit inside the carriage. Pegasus delayed a bit while holding the rope of his horse. He went near the silent Agi who did not move since he gave the orders.

"The power backlash..." Pegasus stated it while frowning and looking at Agi's hidden trembled body.

Agi's long and thick cloth enables him to hide his situation. Even his big hat hides his tense expression. Nobody else knows that using full heal would lower Agi's stamina almost to none. But, Agi was strong.

He was still able to stand normally without anyone else other than Pegasus noticing it. That was why Agi told Kairi when Kairi was injured after killing Dark Ries that he could not use his full heal spell on Kairi. Because it might lower his defence against the enemy.

"I'm fine. Mind your own business." Agi scowled.

Pegasus gritted his teeth. He appeared behind Agi and put his hand around Agi's waist before he jumped onto his horse. Agi was shocked by his movement and struggled violently.

"Pegasus, what the hell are you doing?!" Roared Agi.

"Shut up. If you don't want me to embarrass you further, be silent." Pegasus chided.

Agi would not understand his worry and he would never expose himself. Even if their relationship was odd, he would never let Agi be in any problem. But, he could mess up Agi to his heart's content.

"You-...!"

The sudden galloping from the horse horrified him. He immediately grabs Pegasus's arm to stabilise himself.

Their friends were looking at them strangely. They did not question it further since it was normal for Pegasus and Agi to find trouble for each other.

Yes, absolutely normal.

When the twilight came, they stopped in an area with flat ground to build their camping site.

Agi fought with Pegasus due to his embarrassment riding with another male who he hates so much. His energy recovered during their journey. Pegasus just smirked and battled him. Their weapons clashed with each other.

"Should, should we stop them?" Kairi asked. He was horrified by them.

"No need. Just let them be..." Virgo answered, uncaring about the fight.

He pulled out the cooking appliances from the carriage and built a cooking area in the middle of their campsite. Aries and Libra were helping him while Rafiz, Cygnus and Eridanus had gone hunting some wild animals.

"Bastard!" Agi chided and stopped his attack.

Pegasus was not serious about fighting him. He was an idiot if he kept going. He walks towards Kairi, Virgo, Aries and Libra while ignoring Pegasus.

"See. It's done," said Virgo at Kairi.

Kairi gives him a dead stare.

"What? I told you not to bother. They would stop on their own once Agi realise Pegasus just playing with him."

Kairi let out a sigh. Why do these people have such a childish side? Are all the Bright Star users like these? He got worried.

Aries, who heard what he was thinking, chuckled.

"You might see a bunch of kindergartens later," Aries told a joke in his mind.

Kairi's eyes twitched.

"I can feel the change of you three since I got here," Agi who got near them had sensed the difference between Aries, Virgo and Pegasus.

"Kairi enhances our ability with his healing power, Agi. We can fight Dark Spincer and Dark Reammut on par because of it," Aries replied and he smiled at Kairi.

"You guys think so?" Kairi still thinks that his power was weak.

"Don't criticise yourself, Kairi. We would have died if you did not awaken your power." Virgo smiled.

"True. You are our saviour. You just need a little more practice, Kairi." Aries agreed with Virgo.

"Thank you," Kairi felt a little better.

"We don't know when our enemies will reappear again. So, tomorrow we must make haste to Antonia." Pegasus cut in their conversation.

He stood beside Agi which make Agi glare at him. Pegasus defies him. Soon after, Rafiz, Cygnus and Eridanus came back with a dead deer. It was enough to fill their stomachs tonight. During their resting after eating their fill, Agi talks to Rafiz about something.

"Rafiz, your emblem will attract the attention of our Bright Star high echelons. And I don't know how to help you..." Agi did not hide the truth because it was impossible to hide the dark aura that came from Rafiz's emblem.

"I see. I feel that it would bring trouble." Rafiz has thought of it before.

"Yes, the problem is your emblem. If you don't have it, they won't notice that you're a member of the Deorc Star. But, if you don't have it, you might be defenceless against an enemy stronger than you." Agi massaged his forehead. Either option was bad.

"Why are you worrying whether he has it or not on him? Don't you have your store dimension? Keep it in that dimension. No one would sense the emblem's dark aura anymore."

Everyone snapped their heads to Pegasus.

"Oh, right! Why didn't I think of that?! Pegasus, you knew me very well and here I thought you..." Agi did not finish his sentences and grinned.

"You want me to kill you?" Pegasus glared at him.

He felt that Agi was cursing his intelligence.

"Can't you two please be serious now. We don't have time to see you're arguing like an old married couple." Virgo complained.

Agi and Pegasus instantly glared at him, making him chuckle.

"Dimension? What dimension?" Kairi was fascinated after hearing that Agi has dimension ability.

Agi had to explain. "The store dimension is like its name. It's where I store my valuable things. Imagine a room but the room is nowhere in this world. Like a supernatural realm that cannot be seen and found. In fact, the vastness of my dimension has no end and no limit. Cars, houses, castles, islands or the sea, you can place it in this dimension."

Kairi gaped. He began to admire Agi's stellar power. It was too amazing.

"Can I make dimensions too?"

"Of course, Kairi. You can use all our stellars abilities because our abilities are a part of you. It's just that building a dimension is not that easy. It takes time and the stability of your power to maintain its shape. If you don't focus properly, that dimension will be destroyed." Answered Agi.

"Heh, I wonder what secret you're hiding in that dimension of yours? You're the only Bright Star user to whom everyone is always on the lookout." Pegasus smirks.

"Why? You think I hid a lot of gold there?" Agi frowned.

"You can prove it by letting us see inside." Pegasus deliberately seeks another fight with Agi.

"You think I'm a fool? Why would I show you my treasure? Scram!" Agi snarled.

He doesn't know Pegasus' intentions but he cannot let anyone see his dimension because that was the only place where he hides his big secret. And if anyone manages to enter the place, they would surely know the real thing about him.

No! No one can know it!

Unbeknownst to him, Pegasus saw his slight reaction even though Agi hid it quickly. He knew Agi kept a big secret, only he didn't know what it was. Because of that, he doesn't trust Agi even though Agi was nice to everyone.

"One day, I will dig up his secret." He thought in silence and closed his eyes.

Everyone there just went into silence because they could not even cut in between these two scoundrels once they had started. Some even rolled their eyes while others looked amused.

Rafiz opened his emblem's chain and held it towards Agi to stop those conversations before it became another cold war.

"In that case, I hand over my power to you Agi."

Everyone was startled and saw that Rafiz was serious.

"Are you sure?" Agi, look astonished.

"I trust you." Rafiz believes Agi would not betray him.

His words make Agi feel ashamed. Even he would not let go of his emblem in any situation but Rafiz was able to do it. This shows how much Rafiz trusts him. He looks at Rafiz from a new perspective.

He nodded his head and took Rafiz's emblem chain. The next day, they set off again for Antonia located in the heart of Syarantonia.
