[Vereena]
I hadn't noticed I was already crying, but my tears halted midway when my eyes pasted on the last part.
The prince was alive and was turned into a merrow folk. I don't know how it happened, and as I retraced my gaze back to the last sentence, the queen did nothing but long for the sea goddess to do something, and for the first time, she cried.
I was completely in awe to think that when merrows cry, their tears will turn into pearls. Black pearls, to be exact, or were there any colors other than that?
Guess I'll have to find out.
And I did, indeed, get my answers right away by the next paragraph.
The colors of merrows' pearl tears reflect their feelings. White symbolizes sadness, gold pearls are of joy, red is for strong emotions such as love and anger, and black is for grief. The queen was grieving, and my heart was with her.
