It was utter chaos. Witches were attempting to leave the Eola, some were hiding, and others were arming themselves with any and every item they could find that might be able to be used as a weapon. There was no order.
Iris was tending to Fiona who was trying to shake off the vicious attack she had just suffered as nothing more than a dispute between two faction leaders. But she knew it was much more.
“Everyone please…” Fiona called, her voice cracking as Iris examined her wound. But it was no use, the room madness.
Desiree, another new witch from Camden High stepped up next to her “Need some help?” she asked. Before Fiona could respond she added “You might want to cover your ears.” She began to whistle but instead of low and soothing sound, out came a high-pitched deafening screech. I slammed my hands over my ears almost buckling to the floor. Carson and Gavin screamed out in pain from the sound. She instantly stopped. I turned to her with a mix of horror and amazement.
