Broken Trust

Matthew chugged down all his wine drink in his glass cup in one go and stared at patrick angrily and asked, "So tell me Patrick. When you knew from the start, that you never truly loved Anita, Why didn't you dumped her then, from the initial, instead you went on with her, enjoying the paparazzi and media shows and you didn't even thought of the emotional damage this might cause her?. Am highly disappointed in you man, I shouldn't be concerned about this, but I had loved Anita from the very day I set my eyes on her, and she choose you and rejected me over you. I felt she was still safe being with you, and now you're intending doing this nonsense to her. I cannot believe this."

Matthew stood up angrily, surprising Patrick with his outburst while he cast a single final glanced at Patrick and said, "Guy you should be ashamed of yourself to think of breaking up with Anita. I cannot continue to sit down here with you, so am leaving."

Matthew adjusted his suit and stormed out of Patrick's mansion leaving Patrick speechless and he drove off with his Lamborghini.

The following day, Anita's mother paid another surprised visit to Patrick in his mansion. And when she arrived at Patrick's executive mansion, she was told by the servant in waiting that their boss wasn't around, so she had to waited until Patrick returned, and the servant lead her to the living room to sat waiting.

Few minutes later Patrick arrived home and was told he had a visitor waiting for him in his receiving room.

When Patrick entered into his living room, Patrick was shocked to meet Anita's mother in his living room, As off course he wasn't expecting to seeing her.

"Good evening ma. To what do I owe this surprised visit ma'am?," Patrick asked as he greeted Mrs Bright politely.

And Patrick calmly took his seat opposite to Mrs Bright whom spoked, "You shouldn't be surprised welcoming your soon to be in-law or seeing me here either Patrick."

Patrick slightly frowned a bit, as he wasn't ready for the informal talks and he apologised, "Am sorry ma, please forgive my mannerisms, what can I offer you?," Patrick asked and Mrs Bright replied, "Don't stress yourself with that. I actually came here for something more important and I wouldn't want to get carried away and forgot the main reason as to why am here in the first place."

"Okay" Patrick replied as he stared to Mrs Bright and she spoked,

"Yes. Patrick, I want to ask you, why are you hurting my daughter?. When will you start treating Anita right?. Ever since my daughter has known you, all she did is love you, respect you and support you. The last time I was here I told you I don't want to see Anita getting hurt, but still you haven't been doing the needful of that. As Anita ever wrong you in any way or cheated on you before?," Patrick sighed as he wasn't ready to face the reality of his true feeling towards Anita. As he loved Anita too, and a part of him knew that he has feelings for Anita, as to why he haven't sent Anita away nor broke up fully with her yet..

"Patrick am asking?.. Give me a better explanation so I can confront my daughter on your behalf. Do you truly love my daughter or not?," Mrs Bright questioned out, and Patrick stammered, "Of course ma'am.. I do love your daughter, and appreciate her. But I still have somethings to solve out first, as to why our relationship is like this. I don't really know if Anita is hurting because of me, but I will try and talk to her, to explain things better to her, hopefully she can understand my reasons."

"Hmph.." Mrs Bright didn't said anything next as she just stared to Patrick for some minute in silence, making Patrick to wondered why his friend (Matthew) had stared at him in silent too.

Mrs Bright finally stood up and bid to took her leave, while Patrick escorted her off to the garage, as she got into her car and left.

Patrick returned back inside his mansion and sat down in his living room couch wondering if he had taken the right decision or not.

First he wondered why Anita would got her parents involved in their relationship, to the extent of her mother paying him surprised visit, and next he thought of how he could properly explained it to Anita that his heart already belonged somewhere else and he sighed.

Chris travelled back home to his village as obviously he had no other reason of returning home other than visiting Tina.

Chris feared that if he distanced himself for too long, away from Tina, Tina might fall in love with another boyfriend, and he didn't wanted that to happened as he loved Tina so much.

Chris came early to Tina's village and he went to her father's house first as he already knew her family house..

Tina's parent were already familiar with Chris, so they didn't questioned his visit, even as Chris came early to their house so he could followed Tina to her madam's workplace as he came with his car.

Tina was so happy to seen Chris as she rushed to him and gave him a warm hug

Tina was still having her breakfast and she asked Chris, "Have you eaten at home, this one you showed up early here in my house?."

Chris smiled to Tina and said,

"I haven't eaten. I just wanted to see your beautiful face first."

Tina smiled back to Chris hearing what he said and she went into their house to brought him food and a cup of water too.

Chris sat on the bench outside, in front of Tina's father's house and Mama-Tina wasn't happy again with Chris visiting.

Ever since Mama-Tina had seen Patrick, she couldn't helped but wanted Tina to settle down with Patrick because of Godsent, as she didn't wanted Tina to had an extended family..

At first when Mama-Tina didn't really knew whom Godsent father was, she was hoping and praying that her daughter, would found someone else whom would truly loved her and accepted her and Godsent, but now she knew about Patrick, she just wanted Tina to be committed to a nuclear family and not extended or polyandry..

"Mom, what are you thinking about this early morning?. You didn't even noticed me?," Tina asked her mother, after she got in and was talking to her mother, but Mama-Tina wasn't replying to her.

Tina assumed probably her mother was in deep thoughts and that's why she wasn't answering her, and Mama-Tina sighed and spoked, "My daughter, you don't mind me I've been thinking too much of lately, Where is Godsent?."

Tina frowned.

"Mom I came in now, and I was talking to you, and you didn't even answered me. Godsent is outside playing with Chris," Tina replied but

when Mama-Tina frowned hearing Chris and she sighed again making Tina to felt concerned and stared to her mother in worry..

"Mom, What's the problem, you seem not to look alright?," Tina asked again as she finally sat down beside her mom on their old bed.

"Mom, what's troubling you?" Tina continued to asked and Mama-Tina sighed and replied,

"My daughter, what did you came in here to do before? You shouldn't mind me, am just worrying about you, so you don't need to mind my worried looks. Just focus on what you're doing that's all."

Mama-Tina tried ignoring Tina's questioning looks as she thought to waited first for Chris to leave and to knew the exact relationship of Chris with her daughter before she interfered.

Mama-Tina also wondered [What if Chris got Tina pregnant too, all these young men of nowadays that cannot control their sexual desires?.]

Mama-Tina shook her head and thought to asked Tina, what truly is her affairs with Chris?.

Tina walked out to their frontage and she sat down beside Chris on their bench and brought Godsent closer to herself to feed him his food too, which was white rice with fish stew.

"He look so much like his father," Chris mistakenly said startling Tina whom stared to him in shocked, as she remembered she hadn't told Chris about Patrick.

"Do.. you know his father?," Tina asked in a shaken voice, and

Chris gulped and cursed in his heart as to why he said that out.

Chris ate from the plate of food given to him silently, and he never wanted to told Tina that he knew Patrick so well.

How he subconsciously said that out baffled him but Tina asked him again,

"You are not saying anything?."

"Yeah, I guess I know his father. He looks like one man I used to see on magazines and social medias pages. I wanted to ask you about him but I don't want you to get troubled or upset with me asking. That's why I never bothered asking you about his father," Chris replied, and not telling Tina that he knew Patrick very well, and Patrick was even his childhood best friend too.
