Chapter 13 Chapter 13

On Monday, I sat on my porch and waited for Dylan to pick me up. As soon as I saw his car coming down the street, I stood up and took up my bag pack from the chair beside me.

"Bye Mom!" I called to my mother inside the house.

"Bye dear!" She replied. I walked up to Dylan's car and got in when he parked.

"Hi Dyl." I greeted, putting on my seatbelt.

"Hi Jessie." He said, turning the car from my driveway and unto the road. He headed in the direction of Amber's house. After we picked Amber up, we headed for our school. Within fifteen minutes, Dylan pulled into the parking lot and into a parking space.

We exited the car the same time Ramona's car pulled into the parking lot. She exited her car and I noticed that it was fixed.

"I see our victory is short-lived." Amber observed, indicating Ramona's car that was newly painted and sported new tires. The car was shinning like new.

"What did you expect? Her dad is rich, remember?" I reminded.
