Now, be good and start talking

One of the twins attacked, and the other followed soon after. It gave some hard time for Liam, but that was just temporary as the fist guy was about to enter the fray. He made the twin's cooperation waiver slightly, leaving a gap in their defense and allowing Liam to trip one and push the other against the wall.

This gave Liam some time to deal with the fist guy charging at him like a mad bull.

'What's the use in that?' Liam wondered as the bull got closer, he only had to make him stumble, and he crashed to the wall.

While those three were trying to get up and clear away their double vision. Liam encountered one that was aiming a gun at him. Liam started at him for a moment.

It looked like a handgun, and he was holding it with one hand.

Liam didn't know the weapon, so he didn't risk it and moved to the side and approached him while trying to aim at him. He didn't shoot. Liam didn't understand why but he attributed it to making too much noise. 'Was that guy just trying to intimidate him?' It didn't make sense to Liam, but he had disarmed the guy a mere moment later and held the weapon himself.

'Light,' he concluded that it was the reason for the man daring to hold a handgun with one arm. Liam had no plans of using the thing. He just wanted one, so he could examine it later.

He had knocked the guy out with a finger flick to his forehead, using his internal energy. The man fell like a stone.

The twins stopped when they saw what happened to their fellow gang members and retreated—knowing that their opponent was stronger than them.

The bull, though, still charged at Liam, and he neatly chopped with the side of his hand, and the bull fell like a rock.

The alleyway was silent. The Scarface hadn't seen all, but he saw enough to know that he was wrong. The man wasn't harmless at all.

He fell to his knees and started kowtowing.

"I'm sorry, please spare us!" he said right as he knelt. He repeated it like a mantra when Liam reached him.

There were three other people still standing near the Scarface. Two of them kneeled but didn't say a word, hoping for their survival. The third one was a woman with a large afro.

"Why are you kneeling? We could still take him," a nasal voice said, trying to make the men get up.

Liam just looked at her when the kneeling ones didn't respond.

"Cowardly bastards," she muttered and calmly approached Liam, unsheathing her two knives. She stared at the man and tried her best to analyze him but failed. Nevertheless, she still came and decided on a strategy.

A beautiful smile formed on her lips, a playful spark entered her eyes, and her walk changed to emphasize her body. Everything was revealed, and everything bounced naturally. Her body started to exude a smell that would entrance her opponent.

It wasn't her natural smell, more like a perfume.

Liam didn't do anything until she flashed her blade, trying to cut him. Her hand was stopped by him, unable to reach him.

She looked at the face a saw a warm smile. She unconsciously copied it, making her feel like she had fallen under his control. She had never fallen under a man's control before, which irritated her to no extent. She swung her other blade, wanting to cut that smile off his face for being so damn infectious.

Her hand was stopped, and Liam grabbed hold of the woman, twisting her enough to turn her back against his chest as she was pulled toward him. She landed between his arms. One of his arms was across her waist while the other held on to her jaw. He was making her look at him.

"You ... Think too highly of yourself without any real skill," the voice entering her ears was soft yet sharp like silk.

"What?" she started struggling to get free, but those hands held her tight. She couldn't believe what was happening.

Liam let go, and the woman backed away from him.

"You bastard!"

"I didn't do anything to you. So why are you insulting me like this?" the man's voice suggested that he was disappointed and she hurt his feelings.

"T-this..." Liam made the women feel like she had done something wrong, and she recalled his words.

He performed the skill she lacked right in front of her and effortlessly without any supplements.

"Now then, the yapping one has quieted down. I want to apologize for killing two of your group members. It was not my intention to kill. I would like to know if either of them had any family?"

"Sir?" the Scarface asked in confusion.

"The one over there and there," he pointed to the bodies slumped on the ground.

The twins moved at that moment, either to one of them.

"It's Teddy. He was an orphan with no family ties," come from the one who had bled out. "It's Blue. He had a mother and two sons. His wife died after giving birth to a stillborn six years ago. His mother is almost on death door, and the children are eleven and nine years old." The other reported, whose throat he had crushed with just one blow.

"Make sure the mother gets this," he tossed a pouch to the twin that reported about Blue.

"Yes, sir!" they left after a moment.

"Now then, I'm a bit new to the area. Bring me up to speed as we walk to the inn," he said to the Scarface and untied the boy from his back.

Yong-Sun didn't move or let go of him. Liam poked him in the ribs, making him twitch in response. It seemed to have woken him. He loosened his grip and was let down.

Liam took his earplugs but kept the blindfold. They were still in the alleyway, and it was littered with quite a few dead or unconscious bodies. Liam didn't want the boy to witness it too soon.

"Si-Liam?" he questioned, remembering right on time.

"We are still at the alleyway. The sight won't be pretty." Liam explained.

"I... I can smell blood..." he stammered out. Well, that was to be expected. One had literally bled out.

"Yes, unfortunately, two died," Liam sighed at that.

"That... Si-Liam, are we going to the inn now?"

"Yes, someone will come with us, so don't be scared when I take your blindfold off. He will tell me some stories," Liam tried his best to be kid-friendly, but he had no such experience.

"I won't be scared," the boy declared with determination.

"All right, let's get moving then," he took Yong-Sun's hand, guided him out of the alley, and removed his blindfold.

"Now, be good and start talking," he said to the Scarface, who had removed the rag from his face. He had no use for it anyway.

"The ... " he started speaking, and Liam listened attentively. He got a lot of unnecessary information, but bits a pieces he could find that he was looking for.
