The Devil Never Had Feelings.

"Why are you being nice to me all of a sudden?, It scares me a lot because I know how much you hate me"

"Is she supposed to ask me that dumb question?, She should be thankful I saved her ass and not ask me stupid questions" Tyler turned to the side, scratching the back of his hair confusedly. What was he going to say now?.

Seconds passed and there still came no reply from Tyler, and Wren needed those answers from him urgently, and she seemed like she wasn't going to give up on getting those answers even though Tyler looked as if he wasn't going to reply. So she just stood her ground.

Though Wren stood her ground, she quivered a little caused by the air rippled with tension and heat, she could actually taste it on her tongue and could also sense the goosebumps covering her flesh.

"I made a promise to father to protect his precious bunny, that's all. So don't think dirty" Tyler finally spoke, ruffling Wren's hair and she shot him a glare, not that vicious. What was he doing?. Was she a dog?.

"I didn't think" Wren's sentence was left unanswered as Tyler walked away from her, leaving the clinic immediately as if he didn't want her to further her questions.

Wren shrugged, sighing, at least Tyler was nice to her today.

So no cold feelings attached.

****

It was getting very late and very dark in the night, around past nine thirty o'clock and the skies were gloomy as the sun had gone down, making way for the dim clouds to find their way in.

School was over and everyone had settled down in their private rooms, except for Wren who decided to take a walk outside her room alone all by herself in the large dark compound. She just wanted to receive fresh air, nothing else.

The only visible lights that chased the darkness outside away were the ones coming out of the lighted water fountain designed with the statues of three headed lions that Wren was staring at.

She watched the way water flowed out of the mouth of the three headed lions statues and how the lights changed into different beautiful colors repeatedly, each the water stopped flowing and continued again.

Wren suddenly felt dizzy and almost reached the floor but a couple of strong arms stopped her, when she felt a sharp pain in her head as she saw short flashes of that same nightmare she had when she was still in the clinic.

"Thank you" she turned, thanking her saviour and her jaws dropped open when she saw who turned out to be her saviour.

It was that same handsome face she first saw when she woke up from her nightmares.

Tyler.

"Woah, take it easy there" Tyler cautioned Wren who slipped out of his arms forcibly, the moment she sighted his face. F**k!, Wren muttered, bowing her head and avoiding Tyler's alluring gaze.

She was becoming too clumsy today. What the hell was wrong with her?.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to fall" Wren bit her bottom lip, apologising and avoiding Tyler's gaze at the same time.

"You have got to be careful or else you are really going to reach the floor for real when next you try that again".

Wren felt kind of embarrassed when Tyler dropped that statement. She was grateful that he saved her but he didn't have to make it look like she was doing it on purpose.

She doesn't know what have been attacking her and shooting her unwanted pain since she survived being murdered by Quinn.

An awkward dead silence reigned in between Wren and Tyler after he was done with that statement. That same one that reigned in between them when they were both still in the clinic.

Wren still bowed her head, with her gaze still glued to the tiled floor of the compound. F**k, What was Tyler doing here now?. She was sure she sneaked out of her room without anyone knowing where she was heading to, So how was Tyler able to know where she was?.

And why did he have to be the one to find her?He was such a stalker.

"What are you doing out here? And how were you able to find me? Were you stalking me?. I'm sure I left my room without alerting anyone"

"And now she's speaking too fast, What an awkward person" Tyler muttered to himself indistinctly which Wren wasn't able to understand, as she awaited his response to her questions.

"Father put me in charge of your care bunny, so don't go anywhere without letting me know again" Tyler's voice was hard, and not sweet nor soft like it was when he spoke to Wren in the clinic and she frowned, knowing the nice Tyler was gone and the devil was back.

"You seem to be in trouble wherever you see foot in and I don't want to worry about you again, you have given me more heart attacks today than I could possibly take" Wren's eyes widened, as she listened to Tyler's words.

Did she really make the devil worried?. But how?. Tyler always acted all tough and cold towards her, so when did he suddenly started worrying about her?. Did she really scare him that much when she was still in hell and not wanting to wake up?.

Wow, Tyler still had some real humane feelings attached to him, Wren thought the devil never had feelings.

Wren wanted Tyler to leave because he was making her feel a little bit nervous which she didn't want him to observe but Tyler just stood still with his gaze glued to her.

Tyler wasn't going to leave soon so she thought of what she was going to say to make him leave alone, so she raised her face, saying.

"I'm sorry for making you worry about me, and you don't have to keep on stalking me in the name of trying to keep me safe just like dad wanted, I'm not a kid, I can take full care of myself" Wren pointed out to Tyler and he let out a short sarcasm laugh caused by her the last statement Wren dropped.

She can take full care of herself?Who the f**k was she kidding?.
