Chapter Forty six

Sophie walked slowly into the house Marcus had brought her to. The place was beautiful and perfect. Just what she needed right now.

Marcus had made Evelina come with them and two bodyguards. He didn't want her stressing herself, he'd said.

The house was located at the far side of the countryside, and few houses were only visible around them. It was a quiet, perfect and peaceful place to stay. The house overlooked a small river. clear and flowing freely. The stairs led to four bedrooms, the sitting area wasn't as big as Marcus house but it was big enough to contain all of them.

The kitchen was just perfect and it has every damn thing they could ever need. They don't need to drive down to the store that is many miles away. They will soon but for now they should be okay.

"I assume you love this place" Marcus said to her as he watched the guards and Evelina take the luggages up the stairs. She stood with Camille clutching to her hand.

Sophie nodded and gave him a small smile.

"I do. It's beautiful"

"Am glad you love it, everything you need is here. But should in Case you find anything missing, tell one if the guards to drive down the road."

She nodded and turned to face him pouting and almost in tears.

"I.....I....I'll miss you" She murmured stammering.

Marcus turned to face her and gave her a warm smile. He slipped his hand around her waist and dragged her closer to himself.

"I'll miss you too, but I'll make sure to call and visit you. I promise you" He said this as he bent his head and seized her lips in an heart wrenching kiss. He captured her tongue with his and slip into her mouth.

They had totally forgotten about Camille, who stood staring at them with cunning expression, almost smiling.

Sophie came to her senses first, remembering that Camille was watching them. And Marcus stepped back from her, releasing her waist.

"She must have been flattered" Marcus said as Sophie bent low to Camille size and gave her a broad smile.

"She sure is. Imagine the look on her face, oh big baby, are you Okay?" Sophie asked Camille combing her hand through her short soft curls.

Camille nodded enthusiastically and gave her an almost sad smile.

"I miss granny" She said

She looked back at Marcus for help and sighting her look he bent toward too and said to her

"Granny went on a long vacation, and she misses you too. Do you want to talk to granny?" He asked and Sophie sent him the 'Are you Crazy' look.

He took out his phone and suddenly dialed a contact

" Hi granny, Camille here misses you and wants to talk with you" he said and handed the phone to Camille who egarly collected it and placed the phone to her ear all smiles.

"How do you do Camille?" the voice asked.

"Am fine granny, where're you?"

"I went on a loooong trip but I'll be back soon okay, and when I'm coming back I'll make sure to get you your favorite doll okay"

"Okay granny...byee"

When Camille gave the phone back to Marcus and stared at Sophie, there where tears in her eyes.

"Why are you crying"Camille asked her

"Noo.....am not, I... I'm just happy you spoke with granny" Sophie said cleaning her cheeks smiling.

Camille smiled at her and hugged her.

"I love you Mommy"

"I love you too big baby" She said hugging her back giving Marcus ' You are the best man' look.

He was truly the best man.

Evelina thought as she stared at the scenerio in front of her.

Later that night, Sophie sat with Evelina in the sitting room, after putting Camille to bed, they put on the television and began to watch some interesting program.

The guards were outside, the air was cool and calm so they decided to enjoy the fresh air outside.

Sophie's hand rubbed lightly on her big stomach.

She wondered if she should get a scan to check which gender she was carrying. Or wouldn't it be nice to be surprised at birth.

"Do you think I should get a scan?" She asked Evelina, who helped her rub some soothing oil on her belly.

"How many months gone are you?" Evelina asked

"Six months?"

"Do you really wish to know the gender of your baby?"

"Not really though, I love to be surprised but when it comes to getting baby's things. I wouldn't know what to get for the baby"

Evelina nodded understandably and smiled." We can go to the doctor tommorow and process the scan. It would be nice to know which gender you're carrying though, it gives you more happiness to Know you carrying a girl that'll have your hair and eyes or a boy that'll be the replica of the boss"

Sophie smiled, that was true.

They should make an appointment then. she was eager to know.

"The boss sure loves you" Evelina told her facing the television again.

Sophie's expression changed briskly.

"He doesn't" She stated blankly.

"He does"

"He's just being caring because I'm carrying his baby"

"He isn't, the man loves you, he may not want to admit it but he does. He could risk his life to keep you safe. And he'll do anything to get you to safety"

That was true, but was that love?

"All that his because of the baby I'm carrying. I don't think Marcus can ever fall in love with someone like me"

"Someone like you?"

Sophie nodded and Evelina smirked.

"If he could get someone like you pregnant, then why can't he fall in love with someone like you"

Evelina hit the right spot again.

"I don't have any benefiting background. I think he deserves someone who will be ready to help him when he's in need financially"

"Financially? The boss has all the money he wanted in the world. Don't you love him? Don't you want to get married to him?"

"I don't know"

"The baby...you'll have the baby and what would you do. Leave the baby with Marcus and takeoff with another man?"

"Of course not, I will never leave my baby, I love this child as much as I love myself. And I'm taking off with no man!"

"Relax Sophie, I don't mean to get you angry but can you be living with him like some baby Mama"

Sophie thought deeper at what Evelina had said.

She didn't want that. Never!

Whenever she had this baby, if Marcus is unwilling to marry her, she'll leave the country and move away as far as she can to begin a new life with her child.

That's what she will do. She had made up her mind about that, no matter what, she'll make sure to give her child the best life it's deserves. Even if it means going far away from the father, Marcus!
