Marcus parked and hastily got down from the car, striding into the house with hasty steps. The door opened even before he got to it and Evelina peeked outside to see him
"Good evening sir"
"Where's Sophie?" was the only thing he managed to asked before he walked towards Elliot and grabbed him by the collar.
"She....she left long ago...I....we....tried to stop her but she we wouldn't listen" Elliot told him trying to release himself from his grip.
"That's true sir, we did try to stop her..."
"Where were you when she was coming to my place?" He asked again fury and Anger clearly obvious in his face.
"Sir....I was feeling a little down and I decided to rest a little"
Marcus released his collar and turned away, running a hand through his shirt sleek hair.
"Where the hell could she have gone here! She knows no one here!"
"I think you should calm down and let's think this over" Evelina tried to calm the situation but Marcus sent her a wary look.
"Do you have any about of any of this?" Marcus asked suspiciously.
Evelina took few steps back from his dominant frame."Of...of course not"
"And she took Camille with her, poor child"Elliot said.
"You shouldn't have allowed her to come to my place In the first place" He told Elliot.
"But she has been trying to reach you for...for few days now but yours weren't connecting and she became worried, that was why she decided to come check on you" Evelina explained.
Marcus signed. His phone hasn't been with him for sometime now, it has been with Ben all along for the spy Cam they'd set on Stacy. But shouldn't he had told him he had a missed call.
And he had been so busy with work and other stuffs that he had totally forgotten about contacting her.
"Do you Know if she'd ever mentioned about a friend or a relative here or closer to this place?" Elliot asked Evelina and Marcus.
Marcus shook his head. Evelina too.
"I don't think she knows anyone...."Evelina began but stopped and her eyes suddenly widened "Wait! I think she does. A doctor"
"A doctor?" Marcus asked confused.
"Doctor?" Elliot also asked.

Dave helped her up the stairs with a sleeping Camille in his arms. Sophie was a little uncomfortable with his closeness, trying to help her do the things she could easily do and trying to claim he was doing it for the baby.
She tried to remove her hand from his grip but he held unto it tightly and refused to let go until the got to his apartment up the stairs and he needed to press in the password to his door.
The heavy weight of Camille he was carrying made it hard to do so though and Sophie decided to help.
"Let me, call it and let me type it."
"Ok thanks, four, nine, zero, two, two, seven, one. "
She pressed the buttons as he called the numbers and the door dinged and unclicked, She stepped aside for him to enter first and she followed him into the spacious and manly apartment.
"Your place looks so cool" She commented trying to make a lighter mood as she watched him place Camille gently on a soft looking sofa.
"Thank you" He said turning towards her.
"Make yourself comfortable, this is a three bedroom apartment, one for me, one for my sister and the other for visitors. So you can take the visitors room if you don't mind"
Sophie gave him an appreciative smile.
"Mind? With the situation I am right now, do I have any choice. And this is perfectly okay by me. Thanks Dave"
"Anything for you Baby" He said as he began taking of his suit jacket and walking out of the sitting room to probably his own room.
Wait, did he just call her baby?
What was he trying to do? Still trying to get the attention of an helpless pregnant woman?
Or was he trying to take advantage of her helpless situation?
No..... the Dave she knew wasn't that kind of person. Or...was everyone like Stacy?
She'll be out of here soon, she just needed to get herself together and find ways to get back to town. Visit a bank and withdraw her mother's savings.
Then she and Camille will move far away from everyone and everything here.
She walked to a chair and sat down, it was the she noticed the pictures on the walls. There where Dave's pictures and that of another girl or woman rather.
But what seemed more funny is that the woman's face looked quiet familiar, like so familiar.
She stood up and strode towards the frame.
"Why does this person looks so familiar to me" She said to herself.
She heard the doorbell dinged again and a woman entered.
"Leslie?" She said softly.
"Sophie?! What the heck are you doing here!"
Sophie looked back at the picture and noticed it was an old picture of the woman standing in front of her right now.
Was Leslie the sister Dave was talking about? Sophie thought ad she saw Leslie walked towards her.
"Am sorry....I....I'm a Friend of Dave's and I just decided to stay here for...."
"Wait! What?.....you're a Friend of my brother? How the hell!...."
"Leslie! What's going on here?" Dave's voice rang out from his room doorstep.
"Dave, wherever did you meet this bitch that stole my man? She was that crazy witch I was...."
"Shut the hell up Leslie, that's my guest you're talking to."
"Your guest? in this house, under this roof?"
"You guys don't need to argue about anything, I'll just leave....." Sophie tried to talk but Dave shut her up.
"You're going nowhere!"
"She's going to leave right this minute,or else..."
"Or else what Leslie, this my house, my apartment, and I only allowed you under my roof for reasons only you and I understand. So why the hell does anyone need to listen to your decision."
"Because I'm going to kill her if she doesn't"
"What?" Dave's angry voice rang out and made threatening moves towards Leslie and Sophie felt if she didn't intervene, war was going to begin.
"Please stop! Stop it! I'm going to leave, you guys don't need to argue over anything else. I'll leave."
"No....." Dave tried to stop her.
"yes Dave. Thanks for trying to help. But I'm sorry, I can't stay here. Your sister doesn't want me to. Thanks once again. And please, please you guys shouldn't argue over me." With this, she moved over to the sleeping Camille and carried her up in her arms. her big stomach only obstructing and making things harder.
Dave tried to stop her still bit she wouldn't hear anything from him again.
She walked out the door, down the stairs and moved to the roadside to wait for a taxi.
It was night already and the streets where still in full swing but the taxis were filled up. Camille's weight was getting heavier and she was getting more tired.
Some groups of drunk men walked past her, and stopped short when the sighted her.
"What's this beauty doing here standing all alone." one of them slurred.
"Where's your man?" another asked moving closer than expected.
The reeking of alcohol only made her want to puke and she tried to walk away but one of the drag her back.
"Where do you think you're going" The man asked and she tried to release herself from his grip. And she was trying hard not to drop Camille.
"Leave me alone!"She cried but the men bursted into laughing.
"Let's take you to somewhere good where you can lay your head"
One of the man tried to take Camille from her. But she struggled against him.
"Leave me alone! Don't hurt her!" She screamed as one of the man wriggled Camille awake and the poor child bursted into tears when she sighted the men.
Sophie was about to scream again when a voice rang out behind the men.
"Let her go!" The cold voice said and when the men parted to see who was talking.
Sophie's eyes widened when she saw Marcus standing there, fury, anger and concern boldly written on his face.
