Chapter fifty five

Sophie stood with Camille, Evelina and Marcus at the airport, awaiting their plane to Los Angeles. Camille and Evelina were obviously excited. Sophie was too but she was as sad with excitement. God knows she didn't want to leave Marcus alone In New York here where he would still have access to Stacy and she wouldn't be around to hold him back.

The only thing that made her go now was the fact that he'd promised he'll be coming In three weeks time and she hoped when he comes he'll propose.

"I'll miss you" She told him, almost shyly.

He gave her a small smile and drew her closer "I'll miss you more" He said rubbing his hand slowly on her belly too.

"Take very good care of yourself as well as the baby, I'll come over as soon as I settle everything needed here" He explained.

Sophie looked up at him nodding "I trust you" She whispered.

Marcus walked over to Camille, bent low to her size and ruffled her straight black hair.

"Will you promise to take care of yourself and your mom here?" Camille gave him a sweet smile and nodded vigorously.

He nodded too. "I trust you" He stood up and stood In front of Evelina.

"Don't hesitate to call me if you need anything Okay?"

"Yes sir, I won't"

"I'll be so mad at you If I found out you're hiding anything from me. Tell me everything that's happening okay, don't let her," He pointed to Sophie, "Bully you into not talking, I know how intimidating she can be"

Sophie looked perplexed and Evelina couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"Me?" Sophie pointed to herself. "Bully..... intimidating?"

Marcus stared at her, giving her the 'Yes You' look

Sophie chuckled and looked around the airport.

Their plane would be arriving anytime soon.

Marcus walked lastly to the guards going along with them. Ben and Elliot.

"You do your freaking job well okay m, I want to hear no complaint or complications. Protect them with your lives or die In my hands."

"Yes sir!" Ben and Elliot both chorused.

Marcus being satisfied with their responses, he moved back to where Sophie was standing agitatedly as if in anxiety.

"You're looking pale, what's wrong?" Marcus asked her as he took her over to sit on a nearby seat.

"It's nothing serious. But it's my first time entering a plane,so I think I'm being too anxious about it"

Marcus smiled and patted her back.

"You'll be okay, you're going to be in the first class quarter so tell them anything you need okay."

Sophie smiled at him nodding "hmnn"

Soon, their plane arrive and they could hear the intercom speaker addressed all flyers to join the line before the plane.

Sophie couldn't resist hugging Marcus for the last time and almost burst to tears as she walked away from him. After he'd also hugged Camille.

She kept looking back and he kept waving at her until she couldn't make him out among the crowd again.

It wasn't going to be as easy as she thought. Being thousands of miles away from him seems like the hardest thing to do and it felt like she wouldn't see him again.

Many thoughts ran through her head as she walked into the plane with Camille's hand in hers and Evelina by her side.

Truly like Marcus said, they where in the first class quarter and it seem more do like Marcus's house than a plane.

If she'd just woken up inside this place and they'd told her it's a plane she would have denied right out.

The place was a complete set of beauty.

After finding their seats, and getting themselves comfortable, thankfully, Sophie's seat was closed to the window and the cool breeze didn't keep her eyes open for long after the plane took off.

Camille sat beside Evelina so she wasn't concerned about her.

The two guards where at the last seats. Carefully envisioning everything happening and not closing their eyes for a minute.

That's what they where meant to do.

The journey was about five to six hours and by the time the plane would reach the airport at Los Angeles, Sophie was jet lagged and tired, her feet were swollen and her face was red.

"It's the longest time I've ever sat still without moving" She complained to Evelina who seemed concerned about her.

"You could have gotten up to move around or use the toilet, and u did ask you if you where fine"

"I couldn't move around with this my big tummy without disturbing the people sitting next to me"

"So you're telling me you safe still for over five hours just because you didn't want to disturb your seatmates?" Evelina looked dumbfounded and stared wide eyed at Camille.

"I need to use the toilet" She told all of the at once. Evelina decided to follow her and they took Camille along, with Elliot striding alongside them.

Ben had been asked to stay with the luggages.

When they came out of the bathroom, they made sure to check all their luggages and bags to make sure it was complete before they walked out of the airport.

A car was waiting for them as they reached the main road. And the driver got down. Ben took over. Elliot helped Sophie climb into the Black shiny Lexus, then entered Camille and Evelina. Elliot sat beside Ben at the front seat.

"Mom.....I'm feeling sleepy" Camille told Sophie and placed her heading her big tummy. Sophie patted her head, smiling softly as she probed her on.

"Sleep dear, we'll be home soon and after eating and bathing, you'll get a proper rest" Sophie Said as she glanced at Evelina who was looking tired too.

"You're looking like you'll collapse any minute from now" Evelina stared at Sophie pale face.

Sophie tried to look okay and discard her concept but she was far more tired than anything.

"I just feel a little faint, my legs feels swollen and my body aches.Maybe I'm not supposed to be flying at this my stage of pregnancy"

"You can" Elliot answered from the front seat.

"The boss already asked about it and it was said that you can still traveling until few weeks to your delivery" Ben finished for him.

Sophie stared at them amazed, nodding her head "hmm hmm...."

Evelina gave her a small smile.

"You'll be okay Soon, when we get to wherever were going, I'll first of all prepare something warm for you to eat. Then after that you'll take your bath and take a nap. By the time you'll wake up, you'll be as refreshed as a new born baby. Our baby will be able too"

As tired as Sophie was,she bursted out laughing and shook her head.

"Oh Evelina"

Evelina returned her smile too as they both patted Camille soft hair and back.

They all hoped things go for the better here.
