Lei was really surprised when he learned about Lili's plan. Or… He could say not her plans, but her plans because of him.

Thanks to Mimi, she had found that there was another business dinner in the evening. So instead of sleeping what he would like her to do, Lili had been shopping for the best dress again, so she wouldn't 'bring him shame' as she, to his displeasure, said.

"You should be sleeping. I… I will go there alone," Lei said, seeing the dark circles underneath her eyes. Lili frowned in the mirror.

No matter how hard she tried to color correct the dark circles, they wouldn't disappear. And the puffiness of her face was more evident than usual. Pissed because of that, she jerked her head to the side; her gaze burning, thought Lei.

"Lei, I will say it one more time. And this will be the last time, okay? I might hate social occasions, but. One, I hate to leave you alone with all those rich, young, and beautiful women. Two, I know that some of the men in your circle use women as accessories. So, the more beautiful the woman, the bigger the attention on you. Third, Mimi will be there too. You don't have to worry." Even though she said he didn't have to worry, Lei didn't look any calmer than before. And he wasn't.

"But," he opened his mouth to say something, but Lili poked his finger into his chest, stopping him.

"Don't but me. It took me a lot of time to pick the dress. It's a formal occasion and I hate my legs, so behold the beauty I prepared for you…" She took out a bag on a hanger and undo the zip. A black soft fabric showed itself and Lei couldn't say anything.

"I don't think I will leave your side today," he managed to get out. But Lili just laughed and took the dress inside the bathroom to change into it.

Lei had to find something to drink because his throat was suddenly dry. And it worsened a lot when Lili got out of the room. There were several questions flowing inside his head.

"We aren't going anywhere," he said, seeing the amount of white skin she was showing.

"It's not that bad…" Lili laughed and tried to remember where the high heels were. The dresses were perfectly formal but sexy at the same time. The black fabric was tightly hugging her body, and the neckline was just above her boobs with no shoulders.

But the designer thought about the formal side of the dress, so one half was actually made into a blazer-like top, six buttons in three rows, ending in an A-shaped skirt that had a wide slit going up to the middle of her things.

"The slit is not going to be visible unless I sit down or move a lot while walking…" she said, thinking he noticed it, but Lei looked at her bewildered.

"It has a slit? We are not going!" his ears became red, and he quickly rose up from the bed. But Lili would just laugh if she weren't holding in her breath to put on her shoes.

The dress was amazing and beautiful, and she loved them, but they weren't custom-made for her. The shop had not had much time to make them fit her. So her belly and breast were too small and sometimes she had trouble breathing in it. And she had to use tape to hold her breast up, and hope that the zip wouldn't suddenly give up if he breathed in too much.

Thankfully, Lili didn't know whether he notice her struggle or just decided to help her, but the 'fuck me shoes' with shoelaces were quickly tied by Lei. Finally, letting her breath in a bit more when the dress wasn't pressing her down that much.

"An hour," Lei said when a knock sounded at their door. He heard the voice. Lei knew it was Mimi, so it was too late to not go now.

"Shouldn't I be saying that?" Lili laughed and made a few steps forward, testing the heels. Her feet wiggled a bit, but hopefully, her ankles wouldn't give up.

"Let's go," she said and walked forward to open the door for Mimi and Yusi.

Exactly an hour later, Lei had enough. Somehow, she was a social butterfly out of nowhere. It was even worse than in Hong Kong before.

Now, she was laughing, cheering with her glass of Champagne with a lot of people. Mimi was always by her side and three times they told him and Yusi to go away and do business somewhere.

"Your wife is really skilled," Yusi said, watching his own fiancée having fun at a party like he never had before. But Lei only grunted something back. He watched Lili like a hawk. He hated how pale she was.

"Oh, look who is there…" Yusi pointed to the man making his way towards Lili and Mimi. It was Kang Yongsun, famous in the business circle as the cunning, sly, and woman-loving son of a rich family.

"I think he met his opponent for the first time in his life," Lei said, not worried even a bit, knowing Lili… Okay, he was worried but not because of Lili choosing the chaebol, but because he might hurt her when she rejects him.

Both Lei and Yusi got up from their places and walked towards the group of people. They were greeted with laughter. Heck, even Kang Yongsun was laughing. Yusi and Lei exchanged confused looks.

"Oh, my… You are so beautiful," the guy said. Lili laughed and looked down on herself.

"Thanks, I know. My fiancée tells me that every day…" Lei almost couldn't hold back his laughter. The sour expression on Yongsun's face was something not easily seen.

"Fiancée? Oh, come on. It doesn't matter who your fiancée is, I can do better… I can give you a car just by snapping my finger." Lili's smile widened and with sparkles in her eyes, she attentively listened to him. But inside, she was disgusted. Buying girls like that?

"Oh my god, a car? I'm in for the Bugatti La Voiture Noire. I'm worth nothing less. At least he says that..." Lei bit his lips when he heard that car. It was their personal joke. He once showed her this car if she liked it, but once Lili saw the price, she threatened to leave him if he buys something so expensive.

Lei had to tell the truth that it never was his aim to buy it. He just wanted to see her reaction. Because of what he saw in the Li family, made him doubt Lili. As soon as he saw her reaction, he was ashamed and admitted everything. After that, Lili joked that she really was worth such a car and that he should think about it carefully.

"Do you need to look it up on Naver?" she said, pouring salt into Yongsun's wound. He was totally speechless and just stared at her with his mouth open.

"Do you know who I am?" He finally woke up. But Lili snapped back at him, losing her patience.

"And you know who I am?" she exclaimed, moved her hair to her back in a swift movement, and folded her arms in front of her body.

Lei was so proud of her, he just stood there grinning like an idiot. But when Yongsun moved forward, he moved, too.

"I warn you. If you touch me, I will bury the stiletto heels I have in your balls. And then you will be the last generation of your family. Everyone here will be my witnesses that I warned you," Lili warned him in a low voice and moved her dress skirt away, revealing the stiletto heels. Kang Yongsun backed up, still watching her heels, and then he ran out of the room, followed by the group's loud laughing.

"You are awesome. He was always a pain in the ass. I never knew he could be scared like this. Who is your fiancée? I need to applaud a man that is so brave to be with you." The woman laughed, looking around. When she saw Lei that was frozen mid-run, she guessed correctly.

"Let's go. I will tell my husband what happened today. I will introduce you two…" Lili nodded and Lei followed, thinking he was just too lucky to find someone like her.
