"THE ASURAN PRINCE?!" Jesper bellowed in shock, anger, regret, despair, and pretty much any other negative emotion possible.
I couldn't blame him at all though. I'm pretty sure that he believed that he had everything in the bag and that Tanya would be his. Imagine his surprise and he talks all this shit about the one person who would save her wouldn't because she hates him and then that same person shows up. I can't even mock him as I would be acting the same way if I was in his shoes, this would be like me having the crown prince dead to rights and then his father shows up and saves the day, I would be pissed.
I looked at him as I would look at an idiot and answered sarcastically, "Nah, this the milkman. I have no idea who this Asuran Prince is but since you said his title in such a way then this guy must be fearful. But is he sting enough to match up in front of this lord?"
Lian looked at me with an expression clear as day that said she was all types of confused, while Tanya tried her hardest not to laugh. But for me, while I was making jokes on the outside, my mind was connecting dots on the inside. The fact that Jesper knew who I was ringing bells. I was known for being mysterious and introverted and due to that the only people who should know of my existence are the royals and the top powers of the Federation, this only supports my theory that the Blood Immortal Sect is about to go through civil war and factions have been made and sides have been chosen. The only thing that matters is...whose side is Jesper on for him to get information as sensitive as my identity?
"Bullshit!" Jesper howled, clearly not buying my ignorance, "Who else would have such unfair features? You really expect me to believe that you are not the Asuran Prince?" Jesper questioned.
I shrugged my shoulder knowing that the jig was up, "Ok, you're right I am the Asuran Prince. But I have to ask you, Jesper, does that even matter right now? From the way I see things you have bigger things to worry about than my identity." I said as Tanya waved her hand and I felt my eardrums shiver from Jesper's screech as I could hear and sense his blood being corroded.
I came down like a ton of bricks, crashing into the floor. Lian didn't let the other goon off either as golden flames that burned so hot and bright that the space barrier seemed to peel away formed around her and compressed onto a tiny ball. Lian flicked her finger and the ball landed on the only lackey that was unharmed and his body combusted into an inferno of solar fire.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Howled the human torch as he rolled around the floor in a hopeless bid to put the flames out.
While Lian was having her fun with the human torch, Tanya dragged Jesper in front of the three of us and began her interrogation, "So now that this is all done let's ask the million dollar question, why did you do all of this?"
Jesper who was still groaning and screaming finally mustered up some energy to speak and knowing what it felt like to have your blood corraded from the inside he didn't dare be stingy, "I thought you would've known by now princess but it seems that you were clueless about everything the whole time."
Tanya frowned, clearly not understanding Jespers' answer at all, "What do you mean?"
"The Immortal Blood Sect had been going through a civil war. Ever since those other two factions have been applying serious pressure on us in Sin City. Three factions were created due to the turmoil, at first, it was secret and exclusive so nobody knew of their existence but when the academy opened subtlety lost all meaning."
I didn't think that these groups would give a force such as the Immortal Blood Sect so much trouble to the point where they are about to go through a civil war. It seems like my theory was right but there are a lot of members of the sect that are in the academy, all core and prime disciples are here as well and some of the upperclassmen are members of the sect. This civil war affect things during these times but it should only be a prelude for what's to come. I need to get info about the factions of the sect and this civil war, Duan Ru Feng is nowhere near me right now and even if he was I doubt he would tell me anything.
Tanya seems to be ill-informed, not clueless but she definitely doesn't have the full details of what's going on and it seems that Jesper is a high-ranking member of whatever faction he is a part of so he should be able to give us something we can work on at least. The rest of the seven should be fine, even if the squads are enough to critically injure them they should be able to escape and find somewhere safe.
"What are the factions that were created due to the war?" I asked although I had a pretty good idea on what two of them were it's still better to hear confirmation.
"The three factions are headed by the Sect Master, Vice Sect Master, and Supreme Elder. The Supreme Elder is more of a neutral faction and is only for people who don't want to pick a side and only watch. It's mainly the Sect and Vice Sect Masters that are warring." Jesper revealed.
I turned to look at Tanya to see the reaction to the news. I smirked seeing the stoic expression on her face, "So you knew about these factions and the internal conflict but never expected that it would get this volatile this fast huh?" I asked and I got a sigh and nod from Tanya as a response. I turned back to Jesper, "Do you guys at least know the origins of these two new organizations that came to Sin City, or are you guys still clueless on that?"
"We still know little of their origins. Even our most experienced spies have made it to mid-ranked members at most. But we do have theories. Since they have powerful members and seemed to show up just when it was announced that there would be an academy nine years ago, we suspect that the power behind these organizations is the royals."
