Jason threw a fireball out of thin air at Frank. He eyed Alicia from the side and shouted at Damian. They were still a strong team. Most of the ones down were the hunters. Few of them were killed.
"Take Alicia and my mum way," He shouted, becoming more aggressive. There was no way he could fight Frank. He moved faster, throwing more of it, ensuring he didn't give him time to act.
"Take Miriam and Jayer away. I will take the girl," Damian instructed his men, fighting his way to Alicia. He was determined to get her.
"Protect Alicia" Frank shouted, but they didn't have a chance when an invisible wall fell on them, throwing them miles away. Jason distracted Frank at that moment for Damian to have a chance to get her. With her in their hand, he made his way, throwing in more fireballs as well as a huge firewall.
Frank was stunned. Jason was more powerful as a Wizard than a werewolf. He could use both his abilities to his advantage. They were mere humans. How could they fight them head-on? Feeling the defeat, he let them go. He pursued a while and stopped when more of his people died.
The werewolves caught were dragged away, but they had no way of surviving with the huge dosage of Monkshook induced on them.
"Let them go. Well, get her back soon." Frank said, looking at the young hunters intending to chase, looking at the retreating figures in the wood in dejection. There was a look of defeat and determination. There was also a look of jealousy.
"Go get medication attention. We will go after them soon," he instructed, going back inside. Patrick and Evelyn were on a different mission when it all happened. By the time the news got to them of their girl being kidnapped, there was nothing they could do.
The anguish on Patrick's face was unbearable.
In the wood, the werewolves were running wildly to get away from the hunters as soon as possible and get some of the injured to safety. Far away from the hunters, Miriam had regained her consciousness but was anguished to learn of the death of her husband.
She didn't cry, but she didn't leave his side. She tried to heal him severally, but it was not working. The desperation in her action made them feel pity for her. Mitchell looked at Alicia and walked to her.
"You!" she walked towards her pointing her finger in anger. She felt pained seeing Jason in pain. She could see the desolate look on his face was unbearable. Every step she took toward Alicia was like a devil reincarnate in action. With every step, her claws came out. Her eyes turned blue. Her face changed, showing her fangs. She didn't appear like someone to mess with.
Alicia was tied up in a tree. She had nowhere to go or run. She felt scared. She turned to look at Jason, but he was not looking. To be more specific. He didn't care.
"You deserve to die" she had just lifted her claws to rip her throat off when a huge figure jumper in front stopped her.
"Stop," Damian said, but she didn't respond or look at him. She was determined to kill her. She looked at Damian in rage, but she didn't retract her fangs and claws," she has to die," she shouted, intending to go forward again when Damian's eyes turned red and shouted again at her," I said stop" this time his voice was threatening and very fearsome. She bowed in fear and took a step back.
She retracted her fangs and claws before looking at Damian, apologizing for her behavior. She did not intend to defy the Alpha, but she could not contain her anger.
Alicia sighed in relief, but his next words stirred her heart.
"It's not up to you to punish her. Her lover will do it. Let's see if love will conquer hatred this time," Mitchel hissed, hearing his words. She came to know he was in love with someone else, but she didn't know who it was. But now she hated Alicia even more but was a bit happy. With her killing his father, there would never be anything between them.
"Yes, Alpha." She bowed, going to stand on Jason's side. Alicia looked from the side, and her heart throbbed even faster. She had known his feelings for her and felt something for him. She kept on thinking about him. When her grandfather said she should go close to him, she did. They were in communication and hanged out a few times. She found him to be proud, loving, and courageous each time. He looked loving as well.
There was nothing she could do about his father's death. It was an order from the Patriarch. She could not defy it.
Jason noticed Mitchel coming to him, but he didn't react. He was used to her, but today she was reserved. She had thrown herself to him severally, but he never touched her. He was in love with someone else. But at the moment, the hatred he felt for the woman he loved was too much. Seeing Mitchel intending to kill her, he didn't stop. He wanted to see if she would do it. He would've stopped if she went that far. With a snap of his finger, he could stop it.
He walked to his mom and took her away from the body.
They helped heal the others and went back to the pack. It was a long night for them. The burial took place in the early mornings at the pack, with the rest of them joining in. all those killed were buried, but they could not bring all the bodies with them.
He ordered Alicia to be put in the most deteriorated cell where the worst rogue in the pack was kept. She was not given any blanket or food for the next three days. All this time, Mitchel had a chance to taunt her.
She didn't complain even a word. She felt guilty. The more they treated her like that, the more she thought she deserved it.
