"I didn't expect that I would find him in this world!"
Lycia could only rub her temples as the young nurse couldn't stop babbling nonsense even after they returned to the quiet emergency room.
The spacious room was indeed silent because there were no patients there, and the only sound that broke the serenity belonged to the young nurse. Even the rain had stopped pouring, but the young nurse refused to follow suit.
Ever since they left the VIP ward where the white-haired youth was staying, the young nurse couldn't stop talking about a superstar Lycia didn't know.
The nurse was young and new in the hospital, but instead of acting like a well-behaved junior, she continued to interrupt Lycia's rest in the emergency room.
There were no patients in the emergency room, and the black-haired doctor thought that she could finally rest at her desk. Unfortunately, the junior nurse dared to dash all her hopes.
"What are you talking about, Misty? I feel like I'm facing a broken chatterbox because you can't stop talking even if I don't listen to your ramblings."
The junior nurse was called Misty, and she was now sitting across from the black-haired doctor. The doctor just lazily stared at the younger girl while resting her chin on her palm, but the young nurse looked very enthusiastic because she finally got a reply from the doctor.
"You really didn't know the identity of your handsome patient, doctor?" The young nurse had blonde hair, and she gracefully tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear as she asked the doctor a question.
"I looked at the patient's data earlier, and I saw that his name was Davel Clayton. What's with that?" Lycia asked back, but unlike Misty who seemed excited, she kept her bored expression on.
She didn't mean to treat her junior coldly, but she was just sleepy and tired tonight. All she wanted was to take a short nap to regain her energy once again. Thinking that the blonde nurse might leave her alone after she responded to her words, Lycia had no idea that her decision only made Misty want to talk to her more.
"You really don't care about the entertainment industry in this country, do you, doctor?" Misty asked back in her teasing voice. "Davel Clayton is the most wanted person in this century. His body is the thing people want to touch the most, his voice is the thing people want to hear the most, and his smile is the thing people want to see the most! He's the hottest man in the world, doctor!"
Now Lycia regretted her decision to respond to Misty's bullshit because the girl had become even crazier now. The way the young nurse praised the man named Davel Clayton sounded like a maniac, and Lycia couldn't help but shake her head at the girl's craziness.
"Huh? You don't believe me, doctor? But you touched Davel's stomach when you checked his condition earlier, right? You should feel that Davel does have a perfect body! You are lucky, and I'm sure his fans will be jealous if they know about that!"
Lycia felt like burying herself in the ground when she heard Misty's words. Misty was a bit strange, and her question just now sounded like she thought that Lycia was taking advantage of her job as a doctor when she touched the man's stomach earlier.
"I just wanted to check his condition, you know. I don't have any perverted thoughts about him, so please stop talking nonsense," Lycia immediately explained as she tried to cover her red face.
Even if Davel was a superstar, Lycia wouldn't care about that man if he wasn't her patient. Her face was flushed red not because she remembered the sensation of the man's hard stomach, but it was because Misty's question had embarrassed her.
"I knew you wouldn't care about him, doctor," Misty spoke again. "Even if Davel were your most handsome patient, you would still choose your stethoscope as your date."
It was a very sarcastic comment, but instead of being offended by it, Lycia chuckled in response.
She was known for her immunity to men, and even if her patients were handsome, she never felt anything towards them. When other female doctors and nurses had nosebleeds at the sight of a handsome patient at the hospital, Lycia could still touch the patient's body without flinching.
Her colleagues often mocked her as the 'Immune Woman from Hillsdale Hospital,' and she couldn't help but smile at the taunts. It wasn't that she didn't want to find a partner when she wasn't young anymore, but she had never felt any special feelings for a man.
She even suspected herself of being asexual, but when she told her mother about that, she received a hit on the head from her mother.
"Let's stop talking about your boring life, doctor. Let's continue talking about my handsome Davel," Misty spoke again in a dreamy tone, and Lycia felt like her heart was being stabbed by the word 'boring.'
"If you think that my life is boring, then you don't need to talk to me, Misty. You can find someone else to talk to," Lycia decided to go against Misty's words even though she wasn't really hurt by the nurse's words. She knew that the girl was only joking with her.
"No!" The young nurse refused as she grabbed the doctor's hand while blinking her purple eyes. "No one here treats me better than you, doctor! And I still want to talk to you about Davel!"
Lycia tried to hold back her laughter when she heard how the nurse begging her to stay. The nurse was very young, maybe four years younger than her, and that was why she sometimes treated her as a sister.
Therefore, Lycia decided to stop teasing the young nurse, "What do you want to talk about that patient with me? You can tell me everything, but you can't blame me if I fall asleep when you tell me the story."
