Asa POV:
Asa sat with Felicity in her kitchen, feeling absolutely useless as he watched Felicity clean.
Felicity made it a point to bake for the shifters that trained, and Asa helped because he had nothing else to do.
He felt like he had before, going stir crazy.
Only this time, it had nothing to do with being locked in.
He wished Chris had locked him in, at least when Chris locked Asa away, Chris stayed with him.
Chris started training three days ago, and though it seemed as if it went well, Asa couldn’t help but worry.
He saw Chris twice a day, at sunrise and way after sunset.
The older shifter never came home except to shower and sleep. Instead, Chris spent his days training, fighting, building, or talking. He spent his days doing anything but being with Asa.
Asa objectively understood why Chris became so distant.
Chris had to lead the whole pack and even if Asa didn’t agree with the war, he knew that this fight was Chris’ duty.
He had to fight.
