Yacht Party

It had been around two days, and the yacht party would be held the next day. Cassandra was lying on her bed on a Friday morning since she received a text message from the Human and Resource Management that she didn't have to go to work today. She didn't want her day to be wasted without doing anything, so she attempted to call her friend Charlotte but she got nothing.

*RING RING RING*

After a while, the phone that was in her hand rang continuously. Her heart began to throb rapidly when she read Greyson Avery's name on her screen display.

'What is he calling for?' She thought to herself with a hint of anxiousness.

She hesitated to answer the call, but she still answered it in the end. "What are you calling for?" She asked right away.

"Can't I at least get a "Hi" from you?" He nagged but in a teasing manner.

"No, I'm busy." She quickly replied to him and tried to end the call, but Greyson had already spoken.

"I know you're at home, I already talked to the HR and told them to not let you report to work today. Go take a shower, we're going somewhere." Greyson commanded her with a firm tone of voice.

"W-What? Why are you–" Before she even finished her line, Greyson already dropped the call. "ARGH! He's manipulating everything!" Cassandra groaned in frustration.

She got up from her bed, then quickly took a shower. Her parents were not home, so she was able to go out even without their permission. As soon as she got out of their doorstep, she saw that very distinct car owned by Greyson.

"Today is Friday, right? Did you know that or did you just simply miss me? Tomorrow is the event you are talking about, so why are you here?" She asked him continuously, but Greyson ignored her.

"I'm just pretty sure that you still don't have something to wear for tomorrow. We'll go to the nearest store to buy you clothes. Let's go." Greyson said in a serious manner, then he opened the car door for Cassandra.

At some point, she was starting to get used to it although she knew that she couldn't be. What they had now was only temporary and is used to things that he was doing for her felt too illegal.

She got inside the car and they finally traveled to the mall where a lot of signature brands were scattered. Once again, Cassandra was overwhelmed at how expensive those brands were, but Greyson still insisted on going.

"Oh, that's new. You didn't hire someone to help me choose my clothes?" She asked as soon as they got inside the mall.

"Nope, I didn't. I don't have any meetings at the moment so I thought I could assist you personally." He replied with his hands inside his pocket.

As she was trying to inspect his appearance, he really looked like a civilian although his handsomeness was still too obvious. She gulped at the thought that she had seen everything under his clothes.

"S-So, where should we go first?" She asked in a stuttering voice.

"We'll go pick the best dress for you." He answered, then he suddenly looked down at her footwear and said, "And a pair of sandals." Greyson then went to pull her hands and they both began to walk to every store they passed.

As of the moment, Cassandra still didn't know where they would be going tomorrow nor who would they be meeting, so she was extra nervous because she had no slightest idea about it.

"This is lovely. Cassy, I believe this black flowing dress looks great on you. What do you think?" He wondered, his gaze fixed on the pattern of a black garment on a hanger.

Cassandra walked in his direction to look at the dress very carefully and just like what he had commented, she also liked it.

A soft curve on her lips was seen as she looked at it. "Hm, that's actually nice, but do you think they have it in white? I think the complexion of my skin would always agree with whites." She asked politely this time.

Greyson suddenly smiled at Cassandra as he tried to imagine how she looked in the color white, so he quickly asked the lady assisting them to get the same dress, but in the color white.

The next store they went into was the footwear shop. They didn't take too much time in the store because they already found something that she wanted. Right after that, Greyson even treated Cassandra to a meal for two in a fancy restaurant and he finally told her that the social function they were about to attend tomorrow was a yacht party.

Saturday morning, Cassandra didn't have work but she still woke up so early in the morning. She felt as if her sleep was too shallow that every sound in her surroundings could wake her up in an instant. Deep inside, she was so nervous about the event she would be attending together with Greyson.

Although she knew that he was there with her, she still couldn't let the idea of not knowing who would attend the party slide. Still, she was so sure that the people attending the party would be important people from different sectors.

"A yacht party? I haven't been to one." She uttered to herself as she heaved out a sigh while staring at the white dress and sandals that Greyson bought for her yesterday.

*BZZT BZZT*

Cassandra's phone vibrated which was only beside her. She looked so sluggish when she read the message from Greyson. "I'll pick you up at 4. Don't be late or else you'll suffer the consequences." She uttered while reading it aloud.

Another deep exhale was heard from her, then she covered her entire face with a pillow and screamed at the top of her lungs. "ARGHHHH!" She exclaimed, feeling so annoyed with the man.

Just a few seconds later, there were continuous knocks on the door in which she knew that it was her mother.

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

"Cassandra! What's happening there? Open the door." She heard her mother calling out to her, so she quickly fixed herself to get to the door. "What's with the screaming, Cassy? You sound as if you're being harassed! Will you stop it?" Her mom said the moment that she opened that door for her.

Cassandra just smiled at her mother and grimaced. "I'm sorry, mom. I just happened to receive a text message from Charlotte that shocked me. I'll be quiet." She excused herself, then she laughed nervously.
