Wedding Dress Issue Again

Mrs. Harper was a little disappointed when she saw that Cassandra still had food on her plate, she sighed and crossed her arms as she looked at her husband. "I can't believe that girl, she didn't even finish eating breakfast and she's already out there talking with God knows who."

But Sylver, Cassandra's father, just looked at Mrs. Harper with a confused look on his face as he got back to eating breakfast. He didn't even bother talking about it because he knew that it was quite useless.

As Cassandra was still getting messages, she didn't even bother reading them anymore, she straight up called Greyson instead.

"Greyson? Is there something urgent? You keep bombarding me with mails. I was eating breakfast earlier and couldn't read them, so I decided to call you and ask you directly." She asked him over the phone the moment Greyson picked up the call.

Cassandra heard a laugh on the phone as Greyson sounded amused. "Sorry about that, I thought that you were still sleeping, I was texting you about today, you might go to work but I already talked to your boss and you're free for the day." Greyson sounded ecstatic on the other line of the phone.

"Again? You're seriously going to get me fired at this point, I can't keep missing work if I want to earn and save money you know, and may I ask why you got me another day off?" She wondered what Greyson had planned for her that day.

"Okay, okay, I'm sure you know that the wedding is in a couple of days from now, you've planned everything, everything is set, the venue and all that, but there is still one thing missing you know…" He said with an enthusiastic voice.

This was what got Cassandra thinking a little, she was wondering whether she forgot something important that could really mess up the wedding. "Umm… What did I forget? Sorry, if it's really urgent, then I'll go and fix it today."

"Your wedding dress, Cassy! I can't believe you forgot the most important part of the wedding!" Greyson sounded excited and ecstatic as well, he seemed quite thrilled over the phone.

This got her to relax a little since Cassandra didn't really care about the dress she was going to wear, she only cared about everything to be finished so that she could get back to her old life without a problem. "Oh! That! I thought it was something important, it's fine, I could just rent…" But before she could even finish what she was saying, Greyson just interrupted her.

Cassandra just remembered how they argued about the wedding dress. She was aware that a custom-made gown would be a bit more expensive, but since Greyson insisted on going for that, she was left with no choice. Besides, he already explained why he wanted her to wear a custom-made gown.

"You will do no such thing! I'm already on the way to your house, I'll pick you up in a couple of minutes and we'll be going to Narcissus Boutique. I really trust their craftsmanship and quality work." He said in an enthusiastic manner.

But before Cassandra could even say a single word back to Greyson, he immediately hung up the phone the moment he finished talking. "Argh! He's always like this, once he makes up his mind, that's what he's going to do! And he's on his way here, what will I tell mom? That I'm skipping work? No, I guess I'd just need to find an excuse and…" Before she could finish what she was saying to herself, the doorbell suddenly rang.

"I'll get it!" Her mother shouted, but Cassandra didn't waste any time rushing to the front door before her mother because she didn't want them to see Greyson.

She was able to get to the front door right before her mother could even get out of the kitchen. "I'll get it, it's probably my service to work, I'm going now as well, thank you for the meal!" Cassandra shouted as she rushed to get out of the house.

"That's odd, don't you think?" Amaia asked her husband.

Sylver just shrugged his shoulders as he got back to finishing his breakfast while Amaia rolled her eyes at him since he couldn't give her a helpful response to her question.

Cassandra quickly got inside the car as Greyson drove away from her house the moment she got inside, they didn't want anyone to raise suspicions. They had already seen Greyson once and she couldn't afford to make any more scenes with him.

"Umm… So, why in the world did you stop me from going to work again? Because of a dress? I told you, I want to go to work so I can actually earn money." She nagged as soon as things got quiet.

"And I told you, I talked to your boss again so that you could have the day off. Today, we are going to Milly to check the dress she made for us. Look, we–" She didn't let him finish what he was saying as Cassandra already got what he was trying to say.

"Yeah yeah, I get what you were saying. Let's not dig deeper to the past, shall we?" There was suddenly an awkward silence between the two.

Seconds later, the two of them started to laugh out of nowhere as the tension from earlier disappeared almost immediately. "Oh, let's just go to this boutique you were saying earlier, the sooner we get this done, the better." She told him with a smile on her face as Greyson then stepped the pedal to the metal as they went over way past the speed limit.

Half an hour later, they then arrived at the Narcissus Boutique shop. The dresses displayed on the display window at the front of the store were all gorgeous and looked like they were made of really high quality materials because of the way they looked.

"Okay, here we are, let's just hope that Milly is working today, I'd rather have her make your dress than anyone else because she's the only person I trust when it comes to the quality of the clothes that I get made here." Greyson told her with a smile on his face as the two finally started to go inside.

Cassandra was just following Greyson's lead as the two finally got inside, the moment they entered the store, there were just dresses and suits everywhere, seamstresses in their workshop stations making suits and dresses, but Greyson knew where Milly would be.

"Come on, I think I know where she is." He told her with a smile on his face as he gestured to her to come with him.
