The Good The Bad The Sticky

Well shit it looks like we'll finally meet the spider. I've been locked up in my home for too long that the summer is already almost done. Haven't gotten the chance to terrorize the criminal hearts of this city. Hell I haven't even gotten the chance to do what I really wanted to do. Just taking out the competition and not building up my own power to take control. Well now that I have BMO hopefully it'll be a little easier to establish an organization myself. I won't have to do all the background checks and research myself, leaving me with more free time to be on the streets to my job.

"Roger Roger." I send the text and continue to eat my breakfast. By the time I was done and finished with the dishes we've concluded that I'll go over to pick him up. Then we'll both go to the mall to look for new Lego sets. I hop in the shower and clean myself up before putting on some new clothes. I've had to get rid of my entire wardrobe because none of my stuff fit me anymore. I'm 13 years old kid with a severe case of puberty. Now all my new clothes are more expensive for your typical preteen but as a prince born into a shadow empire, I don't have much troubles when it comes to money. I still have a majority of the gems that I took from the palace before I left. Who knew that just spending 4 gems would last me all these years.

After almost half an hour of walking through the city and riding the bus I soon arrive at Peter's apartment. I look up towards the floor of his window before taking a deep breath to relax my nerves. I pull in my spider senses into my body using my will power and magic. Just like when I was practicing over the summer, my senses seems to dull out as the world starts to be come a little bit quieter. I pull out my phone to let Peter know that I'm outside of his apartment. I can see him looking through his window trying to spot me....sigh. Looks like this is going to be a fun explanation. I wave at him and put my phone against my ear as I begin to call his number. After a few rings he picks up the call and became very confused. "Ned?"

"It's been a long summer Peter." I grin at him before waving for him to come down. After a few minutes of waiting he's finally on the ground floor. He looks a lot taller and bigger than before the bite but nothing compares to what happened to me. "What happened to you Ned? You're huge!" He laughs while examining my body. I've stopped wearing my amulet of misdirection early during the summer because there's no way I could've gain over a foot in height, 200 pounds in muscles and still look fat for a teenager. "Yeah your boi's been working out this summer. I want to get in shape to start cosplaying before we start highschool this fall." I put on a smirk while trying my best to imitate the Rock's face and posing at the same time. It wasn't long before I broke character and we both begin to laugh. In just the spand of two and a half months the two of us had grown so much yet we're still two kids goofing around.

We start walking towards the metro station when we're suddenly stopped by someone very familiar. "Peter where do you think you're going with that man?" Peter and I turn slightly to look at each other before slowly a creeping smile slowly rose on our lips. We both have the same mischievous idea to pull a prank on this individual. I pull down my hat to cover more of my face while Peter slowly turn around to look at his aunt with teary eyes. In the spand of few moments the dashing foot steps of Aunt May can be heard coming closer. But within those same moments I was already grabbing on to Peter and holding him over my shoulder like a log as we dash around the block. All the while Peter is screaming bloody murder and flailing his arms in the most comical ways possible.

After a few laps around the block did we finally realized that May had stopped chasing us. I mean it's not hard to see why because at some point Peter and I had switched positions and he was carrying me while still crying out for help. We both drop down in front of May laughing our asses off before I slowly take off my hat to show May my face. "Ned? Oh boy what did you eat? You've grown so big since the last time I saw you."

I couldn't help but blush a little. "Just some good ol science bugs and maybe the same time that made Captain America the way he is." I chuckle before getting up and helping Peter get up too. "I've actually found a new hobby and I wanted to get into shape to look good in costumes at conventions. And uh....well here I am" I put on my best Herculean poses while trying to keep my laughter in. "Anyways May, Ned and I are going to the mall. We'll let you know what happened after we're done catching up." Peter quickly spoke to his aunt while dragging me away.

Getting on the metro wasn't too hard nor interesting. Nothing really out of the norm on your typical NYC summer day. Just your regular homeless person sleeping and pissing at the end of the car. Drug fiend at the other end, a sprinkle of people wishing they didn't have to take the subway, some wannabe thugs and two soon to be high schoolers spread out in middle. Honestly this feels like home. If all New Yorkers could relate and agree on one thing together it might be how much they loath riding the metro but also need the subway to avoid the cluster fuck we call traffic. I do have to say, riding on this train really gave me a great insight on how Peter's transformation went. I can tell that he has his spider tingles but they're still so immature and not used properly...or maybe I'm just an anomaly that can use his tingles at will. I haven't released my tingles out just yet but I've been quietly observing Peter through the reflection of the window that I'm facing. He's looking around like someone is watching him because his senses are telling him that someone is but he's too much of a kid to notice where to look.

After a couple more stops we finally arrive at our station. The business and shopping district is probably always the most busiest because as we approach the stop we picked up more people rather than dropped off. Even when Peter and I left the train, there might of been more people getting on than off. Perks of living in a city with more than 18 millions people I guess, can't get say I don't love how pack and big this city is. The sky scrapers are one of my favorite ways of to traverse through the city and feel as free as a bird. Walking into the busy mall will always have a place in my heart, everything and anything a regular person want is just a walk away. The only problem is having enough money for it all and transporting it all back home.

I'm not sure how but I always seem to lose track of how much time I spend at the mall. Maybe it's because there's so many things going on that I'm never not focused on one thing for long enough to remember to check the time. Whatever it may be, I've somehow lost nearly four hours here with Peter and all we've gotten is some coffee, bobble tea and a new set of Legos. Overall I'd say it's not too bad since 'we' both don't have a lot of money for two teenagers without a job. Honestly it's really nice to be able to live as a regular kid for once ever since we both got our powers. I can tell that Peter is still struggling to adapt with his abilities while I've already explored my abilities to it's current limits.

While we're both sitting at the food court over looking the lower streets below while enjoying my 5th drink and Peter's 3rd drink. Peter suddenly stand up from his chair while keeping his eyes glued to his phone.

"Oh uhhh Ned I think May needs me for something with FEAST. I gotta go mate." Peter quickly gave me our handshake before quickly dipping away into the crowd. Man this guy sucks at making excuses. Anyways "BMO check the NYPD dispatch calls. I want to see if there's anything going on right now." I look down at my bad of Legos before getting up to start going home.
