 Five years into the future, a freshly shot patient gets rushed to the hospital in which Caroline works, who surprising turns out to be her ex-husband, Richard. Love really does bloom in unexpected situations and Richard ends up falling for Caroline harder than he ever thought possible, realizing that he could never let her go this time, especially now that he knew she had beared him a son.

A Second  Chance At Forever

I turned lazily in bed as I slowly opened my eyes to see the day that awaits me. The lonely day.

The atmosphere was a little chilly and the signs of winter were drawing near. Which as well connotes that the end days of our marriage were drawing near.

I looked around the empty house in a way that made me crave someone at the moment.

I wasn't lonely or, I wasn't the only one at home at the moment but Caroline wanted to be alone. I wanted to respect that.

After a lot of things that had happened in the past few days, today felt like the only day I have to myself to relax and enjoy the day but I wanted to do that with someone, someone I love a lot, not with myself sitting my ass alone in the guest room.

I missed her. I missed her so much.
