Monday 3:50pm
Cloud Café
Some minutes had passed before Emma came down the stairs dressed in a beautiful red sundress, her blonde hair was styled in a loose French braid and she was holding a small purse which was assumed to hold the necessary valuables for the trip. "Ready?" asked August as he stood up, placing the phone in his pocket.
Emma nodded, walking over to August and held his hand. He stared at her in slight shock and confusion as to why she was holding his hand. Her face then turned red before she spoke. "I'm sorry, it's a habit." "It's fine, I was just surprised." he chuckled before they left the café together.
Rebecca stared upset at the figures of Emma and August leaving the café. "Awww, don't be mad I'll ask Emma to bring you something back." mocked Sam. Rebecca rolled her eyes before getting back to work.
"Is there anywhere you'd like to see first?" asked August as he waved down a taxi to take them to the town square. "Hmm, maybe we could just go to the square and stop by places as we come back to the café."
"So you want to walk back?" he confirmed, holding the door for Emma to enter the taxi. "Yeah, the square isn't too, too far away from here."
The taxi took off driving at a relatively slow speed. The air conditioner was on and Doja Cat could be heard coming from the radio. The driver made small talks here and there throughout the drive to the square.
"Wonderful evening isn't it?" the man asked politely.
"Yes, I just wish there was a spot to watch the sunset a bit later as I don't think it's visible from the park." she responded a bit sad.
"Of course there is, young man, take your girlfriend to Aztec Shopping Centre, they allow people to go on the roof to watch the stars, sunrise and sunset." the man suggested. Emma turned red at the implication at her being August's girlfriend but neither her nor August refuted his wording.
"Will do."
A few minutes later they arrived at the town square and exited the taxi. Emma went to pay but August stopped her and paid instead. "Why did you pay? I'm the one that's going to be dragging you around." she asked, confused.
"I know, but I'm only paying for this, everything else is on you." he smirked as began showing her around town.
"Last but not least this is Aztec Shopping Centre, they have just about everything. Let's stop by the clothing stores, see the sunset, food stores and anything you can think of afterwards." he introduced, dragging her into the large building.
The first store he dragged her into was Lovely Button, they sold mostly cute themed dresses with buttons which complimented the dresses perfectly. She picked around three dresses from there before they moved into the next store, Dynastieria. Dynastieria sold Gothic Lolita type dresses and skirts, they weren't her type of style but she picked up a few stuff for herself and what she felt like the girls at the café would like.
"How about we make one stop by Red's to pick up some shoes?" asked August, he wanted to pick up some new shoes for jogging as his old ones were getting a bit worn. "Sure." Emma smiled as she shifted the bags of clothes on her arms.
"Do you want me to help you?" offered August once more. Emma again shook her head as August led the way to the shoe store.
Upon entering the store, Emma was surprised by its size, sure none of the stores in the mall had been small but this one was larger than the others and they had a series of name brand and non name brand shoes. It looks as if you could make up the name of a shoe on spot and they'd have it. "Wow." was the only word Emma could say.
"Surprising right? Wait here I'm going to look for a friend of mine that works here so he can assist us." August said walking off. Emma stood dumbfounded by the door as he didn't even give her a chance to respond.
A few minutes passed before a security guard came up to her. "Ma'am you can't stand here, please have a seat over there." the security guard told her, causing Emma to feel slightly embarrassed. She could only nod before going to where he directed her. It took a few minutes but August returned with a male around his height with curly blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Hello Emma, My name is Charles, August here asked me to help you pick out some footwear. Please leave your bags at the baggage area and follow me." he said in a thick British accent. Emma blushed at the sound of his voice before following his instructions and leaving her bags and baggage area.
She collected a card before following August and Charles further into the store. "Are you looking for anything specific?" Charles asked, his accent thick. "Just something casual that can be worn almost anywhere along with some converse."
"What about you, August?"
"Just some jogging shoes." Charles nodded before he turned to a different section in the store.
They walked for a bit till they arrived where casual footwears could be found, among these footwears were the converse and close beside them were the sports wear. "I'm going to check over there." said August walking off.
Emma got closer to the display and looked around before she found a few she liked. She then went to Charles asking if they had shoes in her size. "Do you have this in a size ten and a half?" Charles looked at her in surprise, not expecting her to have such large feet. "Of course, is that all?" he asked, she nodded suddenly feeling a bit drained from all the walking.
"I'll go ring them up in a bit, let's see if August is done." he suggested walking over to where August had gone. She followed behind him looking at shoes as they passed in case she wanted to buy any the next time she came.
"August are you finished? Your pretty lady friend is done and seems a bit exhausted." called Charles.
"Yeah I was just making my way back."
Charles got the shoes in their respective sizes and rang up the items. "Be sure to visit again." he called as they left the store. Emma could only nod as August waved bye.
"Let's go to the roof and catch the sunset." he smiled, grabbing the bags from her and running off, leaving Emma no choice but to run after him.
