Uninvited Guest (Part 2)

I made a terrible mistake. I remembered how my grandfather said it to me back then. To never, ever underestimate the enemy. No matter its size or its race. I could imagine him sighing deeply seeing his clumsy grand daughter from above.

The beast had tried to knock me down whilst I wasn’t paying attention to it. And thanks to that, Gabriel nearly got to join my grandfather. Gabriel tried to get up from me, but still was in pain. And I still wasn’t done healing him.

With all of its limbs intact again, the thing seemed to be recovering its strength as well. If we didn't act fast things could get really ugly.

I managed to heal Gabriel enough for him to be able to move without succumbing to pain. As he quickly got off of me, I got up and reached a hand out for him to stand up along with me.

"Isn't it strange?", asked Gabriel.

"Yes. Like I said I've never seen such a creature before", I answered, thinking he was talking about the beast.

"No not that."

"Huh?"
