"If given a chance, who would you rather, Daniel or me?" Owen asked. 

"Now that's a tough one." Chugging down the leftover champagne directly from the bottle, she said, "I need some time to think."

Her Double Trouble

Emma and Anna were still giving each other goodbye hugs when Daniel finished loading her luggage into his car. He then patiently waited for her. 


“Women—” Owen stood next to Daniel, his gaze fixed on Emma and Anna. “They can be soppy at times.” 


Daniel nodded in agreement. “They have been together for a very long time. It must be hard to say goodbye.” 


“Yeah, you are right.” Owen looked at him. “So, are you excited?” He grinned. “You are finally living with a woman who is not your mom or grandma.” 


Daniel didn’t say anything. He just shrugged. Yes, he was excited but he was nervous as well. 


Before Owen could comment, his phone started ringing. "It's Damon." He answered the call. 


After a brief conversation, he hung up the call. "Yeah, okay, I'll be there soon." 


"What did he say?" The change in Owen's expression told him something wasn't right. He was sure whatever Damon had told him was related to Yuri.
