"If given a chance, who would you rather, Daniel or me?" Owen asked. 

"Now that's a tough one." Chugging down the leftover champagne directly from the bottle, she said, "I need some time to think."

Her Double Trouble

With their hands clasped together, Daniel and Emma entered the mansion. 


A middle-aged lady greeted them at the entrance. 


"Good evening, Mr. Anderson." She glanced at the intertwined hands and widened her eyes in shock. It was rare for Daniel to bring home a guest, but it was even rarer for him to bring home a woman. 


Daniel gave her a polite nod before looking at Emma. "She is Margaret. She takes care of all the household things." Then he turns to Margaret. "And Margaret, she is Emma. She will be staying here for a while." 


Though Margaret was very surprised, she quickly composed herself. "Welcome, madam." 


"Margaret, prepare the guest room next to mine please and ask someone to take the bags upstairs." He handed over the bags to her. 


After Margaret walked away to make the preparations, Daniel said, "Let me give you a quick tour. I am sure Margaret will be done by the time we finish."
