Chapter 4 At the Academy

Knock, knock as some one knock the door.

"Ben what it is it.....? " Said a old man . "Master, it is urgent. " said Ben. "Okay it better be urgent , Come in." The old man open the door , he notice another person beside Ben . As the person came forward , Caldor recognised the person . "Jareth, what brings you here. Did you reconsider my offer ." Said Caldor. "Dean , I am here for another matter and it's about Andre and his students . " replied Jareth . Hearing it's about Andre, Caldor said "Then Make it quick, Ben get me a tea " . "Yes Master " as he left closing the door.

"Barrier" casted Caldor , "Now , you can talk Jareth ". Jareth briefed the Dean about what Andre and what students experienced . Caldor asked "So , According to Andre someone planned all this to capture Cain ? " . " Yes Dean, I have sent the students to the infirmary and the bone golem to the research lab " replied Jareth . "Did Andre told you about Cain" questioned Caldor. "Yes Dean , only I and Lynn knows . We will not say a word." said Jareth . " You know what is at stake. If Andre doesn't come till tomorrow morning, get ready to go , get some rest ." said the Dean and cancel his spell. "Yes, Dean." Jareth bow to the Dean and left the study. 'The Dean haven't changed a bit . Calm as ever . I shouldn't have taken the request .'

"Ben , if anyone comes tell them I am at the academy ." ordered Caldor. "Yes , Master" . The Dean vanished from his study.

Inside the research lab , the bone golem was laid and the people surrounding the table were discussing . " So what did you find Professor Melina..?" Asked Dean .Seeing the Dean arriving everybody bow down. Passing the report Melina reported " Dean , here is the report. The bones are old they maybe of the giant race we are not sure it needs further test .." .

"Burton , What about the ancient runes ?" asked Caldor. "There is no record of it . It's my first time seeing them . There is a old myth among runesmith that a any being who can't use magic can engrave these runes with a source to power them. But I never thought that I will see this , we need more time to study." said Burton , who was the Professor of runes. Hearing that even Burton who known is known as the the best runesmith in the Empire can't figure out the runes. Caldor said "No , Burton we can't keep it here. You need to copy these runes for study . You have till tomorrow afternoon , after that I will send it to the emperor. He needs to know what kind of threat , the student faced"

" Okay, sir ." replied Burton. Caldor left the research lab with Melina and went to the infirmary.

"How are they ?" asked Caldor

" Most students were treated by Lynn. So we only needed to detoxify the poison . They just need some rest ." said Melina. "Melina put a sleeping spell on them . let them sleep for some time. said Caldor. "But Dean , its there really a need for it." said Melina. "I beleive you know , who is missing we need to make sure that no knows about the missing student , before Andre arrives . I don't want anyone to point our mistakes . And they are all exhausted just but them in sleep . First thing in the morning summon Thein. " said Caldor. "Dean, what if something happens to him. shouldn't we wait for Andre to come before summoning Thein " said Melina . " Just take care of the students . I can handle him . He has the right to know about his brother It will make it easy for us.Also tell Ryan to tighten the security." ordering Melina and Caldor left the infirmary and went to his office. Sitting on the chair , he started to read the report Melina gave him. he started to think ' Who , why and what they want. isn't it reckless to attack his son. Not many knows that he is attending the academy. Then it is some other forces . i should let the emperor know . It's became so troublesome.' sighed Caldor.

As the sun rises, footsteps were heard towards the door . She pushed the door and Said " Dean , Andre returned with Cain. !"

" Where is he ..? " questioned Caldor. " In the infirmary." Hearing that Cain have arrived , Caldor rushed with Melina to the infirmary. " How is he ..?" asked Caldor. " Dean , you can check yourself. " said Andre. Caldor came forward , checked his vitals.

"What Demon's energy..? " sensing the energy Caldor lost his calm . " Andre what the hell happen ? " said Caldor. Andre started recounting the events. " So there is someone who can use demon's energy and he knows you , than my intuition were right. they were after Cain . But why? " said Caldor. " I don't know Dean. " replied Andre. Caldor put his hand on Andre shoulder and said " Have some rest . We are going to have a hard time dealing with this situation." " Yes sir " replied Andre and left the infirmary. " Melina , have you contacted Thein ? " asked Caldor. " Yes , Dean , he is expected to come in the afternoon.". replied Melina. " That's good I need to report to The Emperor about the situation . Anything to report about Cain , come to the office." said Caldor ." Yes Dean." replied Melina and Caldor left the infirmary.
