The entire clan stood behind the house to show our guests off.

The shifters were finally leaving.

They'd stayed for several months after we got rid of the Viking to clean up the feral vampire problem and any straggler fanatics that may have survived or been in other cities.

We'd used my home as the base and sent out teams to every single city that reported problems with ferals. Over the months, we'd not only corrected the issue, but we'd also become some sort of symbol.

Supernatural beings of every race were paying close attention to how we worked together. I knew many hoped for us to tear each other apart. It had always been our way to stick to our own species.

I had to admit that that had been my own thinking, too. Even after I'd asked for help, I had thought little about intermingling the species, but that changed as I watched Dominic and Nia.

They were mates in the truest sense of the word.
