Chapter 32

"Even if your mother has said the right thing we would still need to confirm it."

Henry said steadying the thick reading glasses on his eyes.

"Science does not rely on assumptions it needs evidence to confirm it's theories." He looked at Amelia smiling. "Out of all the people you should not even be the last person to take advice about it."

"I know sir." she responded with a smile too. "We are very close to our goal." He said again. Glancing at their faces.

"Once it is found that there is something that remained hidden from our eyes, we could get a solution too." He emphasized.

"Sir the reason I feel that she might be right is because she hinted that Priealto could have been created in such a way that it fits the presence of A and E."

She waited for his response but continued when did not get affirmation from him.

"And clearly it's because we have already found that A and E virus spread due to sewage leaks. And that nobody induced it. It was there before."

"But there are alot of questions that come to mind regarding that." Henry said.

"How would someone know for sure if there was a leakage? We were the first ones to dig that place?"

Amelia rubbed her forehead because the question was valid.

"But still there are alot of ways to find out if the leakage exist even without digging." David interrupted their conversation.

And digging would never have been in their plans altogether even if they wanted to unearth about the leakage."

They all fell silent. He had a point.

"Why would they want unnecessary attention? If they planned to keep it a secret?" He raised one of his eyebrows.

"He is absolutely right sir." Amelia agreed with David.

"It is clearly something in the water that is making everyone sick. Because any other way does not make any sense." She continued.

"Our experiments on the rat has also proven that the water is contaminated."

"Could there be any other explanation?"

Henry asked dubiously.

"Sir, apparently as far as we have found there is no other source through which the virus could get into the bodies." Amelia said confidently.

"We have ruled out many other options."

David added.

"Hmm.." they could not comprehend the thoughts Henry was having. Because for them they had almost put the pieces of the most complicated puzzle together. And any other doubt was redundant.

"Sir, the only challenge now is that how are we going to find out the source of water contamination. I mean... the real...source..."

David raised his eyebrows again to emphasize the validity of his question.

Henry still seemed preoccupied with his doubts as he looked blankly at David.

"Excuse me sir!"

Olivia suddenly entered with a piece of paper in her hands. "Sir this is the list of people who caught the virus but were treated with simple vaccines." She said breathlessly as if it was a huge revelation.

"ahan..."

"Where are they now? Are they alive?" Sir Henry asked curiously.

"Sir my aunt said some of them were evacuated soon after their treatment." Olivia divulged.

"According to her maybe their relatives wanted to shift them to a safe place."

"Nobody noticed where they went. Because everything was fine till then."

"After few months things got worse." Olivia explained.

"Every new victim came with horrible symptoms. It wasn't death that made them terrified. It was the kind of death they were experiencing was making them fearful."

She exhaled with a tired sigh.

"Sir do you think they were taken for experimentation?" David asked him.

He knew that Henry was a wise man and the reason why he asked about them was precisely because it could have crossed his mind.

"Hmm.."

"There could be two reasons. Either they were taken for experimentation or they were taken to avoid experimentation." He replied unsurely.

"Whatever the case is, we can know about it if we somehow get to meet those people."

"that could be our best chance." He said conclusively.

"But that's impossible. How would we know where they are?" Olivia said incredulously.

"And that is the biggest challenge I assume." Henry puckered his eyebrows.

"Actually I know how to do that." David intervened grabbing Amelia's cell phone. They all looked at him astonishedly.

"Who are you talking about?" Olivia asked curiously. She thought she had missed something.

"I know someone who can help us track them down." He stared at her phone and took out the list of contact.

"But wh...? Just as she was about to ask again Amelia gestured her to stop as she sneaked into her phone.

There it was revealing itself in the broad day light.

"He is right sir." Amelia showed her agreement with what David was suggesting.

"There is going to be some real hide and seek now." He smiled as he moved the screen away from his eyes.

"I don't know what you are suggesting, but I have full faith in you. And whatever and however you are supposed to find it out, it is definitely going to be fruitful." He also assumed with a confident smile.

"Sir just leave everything to us. I am sure it will work." David looked at Amelia's phone once again to reinforce the option he had in mind.

"Sometimes we need to take decisions keeping in mind the positive sides of them rather than the dangers and threats they carry."

He said with a smile.

Henry could not decipher the true meaning of his words but he knew that it was a dangerous path.

"I know David."

"A doctor is not just a saviour. He is a soldier too."

"Sometimes one life of a doctor can save thousands of people."

"He overlooks his family, wife and children just to help others. If he dies trying to save his patients' lives that is a real bravery."

"You are a true soldier and the battle that you are fighting shall definitely pay off."

He patted his shoulder with encouraging words.

"But still be cautious because you people are precious." He smiled again.
