Mythical Flute

Carter sighed heavily as he closed the door when someone suddenly knocked. It was one of the inn's attendants asking him for what dinner he liked. Walking closer to his bed, he sat for seconds.

He looked at the box in front of him. He was wondering since earlier how to open it. He had tried many ways, but the box was still intact and not moving. He already tried cutting it with his sword, but it didn't even make a scratch.

Taking it out of the bed, Carter carefully examined the box. He looked at it, side by side, not leaving any space. He saw a key compartment on the very button. It was just small and almost unnoticeable.

With what he discovered; Carter looked at the ring on his finger. 'Will this fit?' he asked himself. Nonetheless, he placed his finger closer to the box. His eyes widened when he heard a clicking sound.

As soon as the box unlocked, a blinding light escaped from it. Carter took a step back and closed his eyes, protecting them from the striking light.

"What happened?" His forehead creased when the light was now gone. He went over to his bed and saw that there was something inside. It was a small flute or also called a piccolo.

Carter has seen this instrument in the real world. It was written in textbooks and, of course; it was mentioned in his music class, but he didn't know that he would actually see a real one.

It was different from others. That was what he first noticed. It was covered with gold and gem-like stones on the side. On the sign was a painting of mountains that was undeniably good to look at.

Touching it, he glided his hands through the length of the instrument.

The size was a little bit longer than his palms. Its length was enough compared to the standard flutes. There were a few holes in the middle too, that will be used in order to create a sound.

'Did I just exchange this hair?' he questioned. He was curious about how this flute will help him in the future.

Carter tried to use the small flute. He placed it closer to his mouth and blew the top, but to no avail, it produced an ugly sound causing him to immediately stop.

'I failed my music class for fucking sake!'

Shaking his head to the side, Carter placed the flute back in the box and placed it on his inventory again. It seems like he needs to practice how to use that thing. He just hopes that it was worth it for his hair.

He doesn't want those hairs to end up in vain, does he? He worked hard for that.

Carter tried to him the search button function of the game. He searched for something about how to use a flute, but he didn't find anything. Well, he already expected that.

The store was hidden, so this thing that he has right now was surely part of it. He took a deep breath and lay on his bed. Maybe he should just sleep instead of thinking about some random things.

Deciding to do that, Carter closed his eyes and immediately fell asleep in just a short period of time.

"Old man! Old man!" A man hurriedly ran over. He was breathing heavily from what he saw on his computer.

"What is it, Green Cloak?" The old man, or rather Red Cloak, asked curiously.

Green Cloak raised his hands, telling the old man to wait before he caught his breath. He ran 5 floors, and it was impossible to not get tired.

"The Mythical Flute is in someone's possession now!" Green cloak announced, causing the old man to widen his eyes. He was surprised that in just a week, some had already known one of the hidden rules!'

Red cloak immediately stood up from his seat and went over to his desk to open the game. "Hairy Man…" his eyes immediately squinted as found the name familiar.

'This is the same person to who I gave the black necklace to as well.' he thought as he remembered the person who won the jackpot two times in his shop.

"That was the same person who I mentioned, young man." The old man uttered as he went back into the sofa as if nothing had happened.

Green cloak looked confused. He followed the old man and looked at him, puzzled. "Shouldn't we panic? That man already got a mythical item and an item that is one of a kind."

"Why would I be? As far as I know, it was not us who are their enemies." Shrugging his shoulder, the old man sipped at his tea.

The man nodded when he thought of it as well. The players were the ones fighting each other to have the $1 Billion prize. And it was already impossible for those people to survive and fight them.

Or so they thought?
