Ch 28: Mr. Collin's Office part one

[ Maybe disturbing for some viewers.]

Mr. Collin woke with a splitting headache yet still got ready for work. Nothing got any better when he made it to the office at his Enterprise building. He stood in his glorious large office that has a beautiful view of the city. From the wall, he watched the news, seeing a list of women mostly in their twenties to thirties who had been murdered. Mr. Collin couldn't bother to watch it anymore.

After turning off the tv that hung on his wall. He sat in his chair, spinning it around to view the window of the city from the high view. Mr. Collin held out his palm for his secretary to put two pills in his hand and then handed him his black coffee.

After he had chugged down his pills. "Do you have the reports from the sheriff?" he asked in a kind voice.

The young woman in her twenties hands him the file as one of the bodyguards dressed in a black suit, takes his coffee.

"Thank you, Ms. Thorn, that will be all." He dismissed her. She did a slight head bow and then left, closing his office's door.

Once she has left, Mr. Collin opened the file and flipped through each murdered case that the sheriff had given him. The autopsies showed each female victim's results. Out of the sixty-seven woman who were murdered. At least ten of them had been pregnant. Each victim showed to have very little to no blood in their body. Some women that were murdered had their faces smashed in while others didn't. He stopped on page thirty-three and closed the file.

Mr. Collin couldn't tolerate seeing any more of it and said handing the file to his guard. "Burn those. The sheriff is already doing his part to cover up the murders."

Suddenly his office phone rang before his bodyguard could talk. He spun his chair around to answer it. "Yes, Ms. Thorn?"

"I was told by security that your son Kai is coming up with his friends. They told me to inform you right away." Ms. Thorn informed Mr. Collin. Without her seeing it, his eyes sorta gaped with a shocker expression.

"Ms. Thorn, why do you take a nice long lunch break. I'll call you when I need you."

"Huh, yes, Mr. Collin," she was baffled but didn't question his kindness and hung up.

Mr. Collin rubbed his temples in large circular motions. Even hearing that Kai was coming up made his head throb with more stress. Chester was so much easier to deal with, thought Mr. Collin.

Without a knock, Kai opened the door to his father's office. Straight across from his view, Kai found dad glaring at him. Then his father's three bodyguards were standing by his side. Ivan, Ace, and Rome follow from behind Kai. He took a seat on the chair staring at his dad through his dark-tinted sunglasses. Ivan and Ace each stood between Kai sitting on the comfortable chair.

Rome however flopped a seat at the left corner of Mr. Collin's desk. Rome eyed the balance ball cradle swing that Mr. Collin had on his desk. With a thumb and one long slender finger, Rome pinched one silver metal ball and pulled it up as far as the string allowed, and then he released it. Everyone was still quiet and listened to the ball chimes, bouncing against one another for a moment.

"I love this thing," Rome randomly chuckled like a child.

Mr. Collin ignored Rome's kid-like behavior. Everyone was immune to Rome and his more childish personality. It wouldn't be Rome's real personality if he was like Ivan, the more serious one. Ace had a fun side, at the same time he could be serious when it called for it. But that wasn't who Rome is and nobody expected him to be anything else than himself. Even for him being a grown young man.

"Why are you here?" Mr. Collin gave out an authoritative high pitch.

"I want this wedding done with!" Kai said strongly, he wasn't threatened by his father's cold glare and higher-pitched stern voice. "It's been a week! A week too long for me to handle!" Kai continued to complain.

"Is Victoria still a virgin?" Mr. Collin straight out asked.

"Yes," Kai was quick to answer.

Mr. Collin pinched his forehead and then said looking at those shades covering his eyes. "Kai, you couldn't even handle Victoria being on her cycle for seven days. You haven't seen her for eight days. Do you not realize when you take her virginity? She will mildly bleed! How are you going to handle that, Kai?"

Kai snorted, getting angry. "I was taken off guard, I am learning to control."

Mr. Collin shook his head staring at his son and said holding out a hand. "The file, please." The guard on his left, handed him the file again. Once he gripped it, Mr. Collin threw it like a frisbee to Kai who caught it firmly on his lap. "Explain this to me, Kai?" Mr. Collin lashes out in anger.

Kai opened the folder but then closed it immediately after seeing the woman with a smashed-in face. So he hands it to Rome. Although he doesn't know why he handed it to him over Ivan and Ace. Nevertheless, Rome took it all too happily. Rome opened it humming like it was a playboy magazine.

"Ooh, 27-year-old hottie!" Rome started to make lustful comments with a ridiculous smile on his drooling face."Hum, I remember her!"

Mr. Collin rolled his eyes hearing Rome while Ace tried not to chuckle. Ivan tried fake coughing from hearing Rome babbling on about how hot some of the women looked. He tried to remain in his cool stance. Although, he wanted to roll on the floor laughing. Yeah, he was more serious but maybe not all the time.

Kai remained mad and didn't care. "I've gotten better and I can control myself."

Mr. Collin lifted a brow challenging. "Take off the sunglasses, Kai, and let's see."

Kai was very hesitant when hearing this demand come past his father's lips.

"What will that prove?" Kai played dumb like this trick would work on his father.

"Now Kai!" Mr. Collin shouted and the atmosphere turned grimly quiet.

"Ooh, I bet she was hot if her face wasn't caved in." Rome's comment came out at a whimsical time.

With the tension brewing between Mr. Collin and Kai. Everyone crossed their eyes at Rome for a second. Still, he was having too much fun shuffling through the victims. Rome was zoned out in his world of beauties which were all but dead.

Mr. Collin eyed his son down again, giving him a demanded gesture to do as he was told. Kai snorted and hissed, not liking this idea. But he held his breath and then took off the shades with his eyes closed. Then slowly he opened his eyes, glaring at his father in calmness.
