Ch 39: Message Written in Blood

Knock. Knock. Knock. Before I even had a chance to head into my bedroom and grab the clothes I left here in my closet. Somebody knocked on my door. I was a bit wary of whether or not to answer. Seeing how it is 1:30 am who could it be?

But whoever it was didn't stop knocking. So I answered it looking up and my eyes popped off my sockets to see Kai here standing vast and sexy. He wears a formal black button-down long sleeve shirt and black dickie pants. Even with the sunglasses on his face, Kai looked like a beautifully chiseled statue.

I shook off my googling eyes, remembering what happened today.

That's when I realized Kai didn't come alone. Sorta behind Kai, standing around was Rome. My eyes rolled in annoyance to see the two of them, mainly Kai.

"What do you want Kai?" I asked defensively.

"I just wanted to talk," Kai said in a gentle tone. "I want to make sure you're ok and explain what happened at the club." His voice came out so soft and angelic. "Please Victoria, may I come in?"

I rolled my eyes and couldn't believe what I was getting suckered into. And I ended up giving a delicate gesture with my head. I allowed Kai and Rome inside and then shut the door.

"I'm giving you less than five minutes!" I give it to him quite sternly, crossing my arms. Kai sorta veered off glancing around the living room. Rome chuckled, welcoming himself to take a seat at the bar.

With his back turned away from me, Kai scarcely murmured. "I didn't mean anything that you saw yesterday at the club." He turned, confronting me with a flat dismal straight lip. "I never meant to kiss her."

Kai shared with me but I didn't care to hear. "If you're that sorry then let me marry the man I love, Kai," I raised my voice. "Terminate the marriage certificate!"

Kai steps closer while his teeth gritted in anger. "That will never happen! I made sure you will never marry him! You'll regret it if you did marry Orlando! You will marry me and be a Collin, not a Mill!" Kai was quick to turn from gentle to fearsome when he notified me of his plan to make me marry him.

"Regret it?" I spat out loudly at the brink of tears. "You ruined my life by stopping any chance to marry Orlando! I could've been happily married to live a life with Orlando but you stopped it!"

"You honestly believe those videos Crystal showed you today?" Kai snarled back asking. "You're a smart young dependable woman, Victoria but yet you allowed yourself to be deceived. You caught Orlando cheating on you at the club before you left for Egypt. You were on your way to the right path until that Mill family misled you again!"

I am dumbfounded on how he even knew but yelled. "Just get out, Kai, and don't forget to take Rome with you!"

Rome chuckled like moron at what I said.

"I'm not leaving!" And Kai was adamant. "Orlando doesn't love you! Every chance Orlando gets he cheats on you behind your back!"

"You're nothing but a liar, Kai!" I yelled.

But Kai babbled on with his nonsense. "Don't you find it odd that Orlando never made any moves to take your virtue? Better yet don't you find it strange that when you discover the evidence showing Orlando's guilty of cheating. The second you run away mad, Orlando doesn't put enough effort into stopping you from leaving?" I was speechless when I heard him asking me this but I didn't need to answer because Kai answered for me. "It's all because Orlando and his family are editing the videos to cover up the truth from you. To make him look like he's innocent when he's not."

"You've been spying on me!" I spat panting heavily. "You are nothing but a liar!"

"I've been keeping you safe Victoria, not spying." Kai softly spoke. "I'm not lying."

I wanted to slap him but he has a vastly built body, so I didn't. Just when I was about to kick him and Rome out of my room. Kai turned away like something distracted nose. I swear I heard him sniffing the air loudly. What the heck!

Rome got out of his seat and they both looked up and down at every corner of the small living room like they were searching for something.

"What are you idiots doing?" I asked, flabbergasted to see their bizarre behavior. I even hear them breathing deeply like dogs catching the scent of something.

"Would you quit sniffing my dorm room like hound dogs and get out!" I yelled.

They never answered and only ignored me. Kai quickly ran to my bedroom and flew the door open. I jumped to feel a cold draft come from my bedroom. Both Kai and Rome went in and I walked up only to gasp at what I saw. My window was broken open and the lock was ripped off. And what little clothes I had here were scattered and torn all over the floor. But that was hardly the worst of it. The worst part was across the doorway on the wall was a message written in blood.

'I found you, my love.' I read in my head and stepped back to remember the note written in my team's blood from the murders that happened in Egypt. I didn't remember that until now when seeing this message written in blood on my wall. Surely I do have some sorta twisted stalker that followed me back home.

"You're not safe here, Victoria," Kai strictly said, coming back my way. "You're coming back to my father's mansion."

Kai took my wrist but I yanked my hand, yelling. "No, I'm going back with Orlando!"

Kai grasped my body while I tried to fight him off my waist. "Sedate her, Rome!" Kai demanded as he held me tight from wiggling free.

"Release me, Kai!" I fight.

Rome came up to me and took out a shot in his pocket. My eyes gaped and I screamed when he jabbed the needle into my neck. Kai held onto me as this heavy sleep came over my eyes.

"I'm sorry, Victoria." I faintly heard Kai cooing as he kissed my forehead...
