Ian was flabbergasted, and then the same vampire said. "Beware, some vampires will be a threat to you more than her."

"How is that so?" Ian asked.

"You are a threat by being a male predatory species, and she'll be seen as a future breeder," he answered.

"That sounds very sexist!" The vampiress spat on her tippy toes behind Ian's shoulder, which made them chuckle by how she dropped her toes to hide again.

"It's only natural to bear offspring in your future. Vampires are stronger compared to vampiresses. You naturally hid behind him because vampiresses do better in packs. Right now, little dear, you need to find your father to get your pack," the older vampire told her, and she only hissed, not liking his reply.

"Who are you?" Ian questioned. "Why are you helping us?"

The same vampire replied. "We are a neutral party because we work in the Vampire Covenant. It is our job to seek young ones like you to guide them."

"So then you'll help us!" Ian chanted, happily.

Until the other vampire replies. "Unfortunately, this is where our help ends. Now it is up to you to prevail on your own before another vampire detains your immortality or snatches her to be an enslaved breeder once she turns twenty."

The young vampiress hissed as they laughed and then faded like ghosts. "Remember, no humans can know about your existence," they said as their voices creepily emanate in the distance.

"Well, they were helpful!" Ian spats sarcastically and hopes they heard him.

"Now what do we do?" The vampiress girl asked and Ian confronted her smiling.

He saw she was frightened and looked more lost than him. Something inside Ian told him to stay with her because she needed him.

"I don't wanna be alone and I can't return home because I'm afraid I'll hurt my family," she pouts and teardrops fill her eyelids.

Ian was in a dream world from being lost in her pretty red eyes. "I won't leave you," he vowed. "Let's find your dad first. Since that's what those vampires told us to do."

"Then what about you?" She asked, feeling worried for him.

"Maybe your dad can help me," he said, shrugging his shoulders unsure if that was possible, but he'd do anything for her at this point. Even if her dad annihilates him, it's worth a shot.

"Perhaps you're right," she thoughtfully smiled. "What's your name?"

"Ian, what's yours?" He introduced himself and asked as his heart leaped to hear it.

"Lily," she giggled, adorably.

"I like that," Ian fantasized, feeling all gooey again. "I have a dorm nearby. Why don't you stay with me and then we'll find your father."

"I like that idea," Lily giggled and shyly took his hand. "Thank you for helping me."

Ian gulped nervously and felt his skin heat up. Her petite hand felt soft and fragile from his.

"It's not a problem," he shyly replied.

After they got her backpack of clothes. Then he led her back to his dorm. He slept on the couch and she used his bedroom.

In the morning, Ian woke to hear scratching in his bedroom. He rolled to his feet and slowly crept on his toes toward it. Under that gap between the door and carpet, he saw this shadow moving back and forth. Then it would halt and claw at the door, whimpering.

"Lily," Ian uttered, then he cautiously opened the door.

This beautiful white-gray wolf shot out of the room. Nearly knocking Ian off his feet. Luckily, he caught his balance on the doorknob.

"Lily, is that you?" He asked, observing the wolf, shaking its smooth-looking fur coat.

Before he could say another utterance. His eyes enlarged. Bones began to pop and crack from the wolf shaping itself. The wolf whined and stood on its hind legs. Around the midsection, the wolf bent back to the carpet. As if it was possessed by a demonic creature.

On the hind legs, snap and break before the paws popped into toes painted in pink nail polish and bare feet. Slender long sleek legs stretch and unfold from the fur. The body twisted from the inside out. Human skin and a red shirt fold out from the fur. The wolf's snout, mouth, and ears shirk into that beautiful girl... vampiress, he met last night.

He was dumbfounded by what he had seen transform right in front of him. Although his heart putters off beat because he half expected that she'd be naked but she wasn't. Instead, he found she was wearing one of his shirts that reached her knees.

Internally, he smacked his face for ogling her slender figure like a typical guy. These dirty thoughts made him feel like a slug. Yet, he admired how adorable and gorgeous she was. The most beautiful creature he had ever laid eyes on. Ian was downright lovesick for her.

"Of course, who else would it be," Lily crunched her blonde wavy hair, replying to his question.

"Wow, does that hurt?" He asked, flabbergasted.

Lily giggles cutely, "Yes, it kinda does. I'm not used to doing this shapeshifting thing."

Ian's mind clouded into hearts with her face on them. His brain was addled by her oval-diamond-shaped face, tiny button nose, sharp lips, and oval eyes that he couldn't concentrate.

"I hope you don't mind that I borrowed your shirt," Lily's benign yet bold voice pulled his head from the clouds.

"Um, n-no, of course n-not," Ian tried saying coolly, but his voice got butchered like a dog chewing on a squeaky toy. He blushed red from humiliation, but Lily giggled at him.

If only he knew, she thought he was cute too.

The way his darker black short messy hair captured his hooded red eyes, made him look sexier. His nose was ideal to her liking and his high cheekbones match his heart-diamond face. Even his thin lips are sensual enough that she wouldn't mind if he kissed her. Overall, Ian's facial characteristics were flawless to her eyes.

"Well, let me get dressed, and will start the search for our dads," Lily chippered before she walked back into his bedroom. Once the door shut, Ian literally smacked his head.

"Dude, pull it together," he whispered aloud to himself. He felt like such a goofy fool.
